The Salt Lake City experience was AMAZING!!!

Postby DirtyMartini on 21 Jul 2008 09:49

I'm afraid I am way too unconscious to say anything intelligent, but I wanted to add some quick, incomplete, and entirely random notes:

First, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA in general.

Second,
While standing right in front of me and Gina, Stewart then takes Sting's hand and tries to force Sting to point at the flag.     Sting resists and then Stewart does a point himself and walks off. The "gals" tell me later that Sting spanked Stewart on the ass when he did this, but I honestly missed this. I have this whole thing on video though.
* Correction: it was Stewart doing the smacking. After the forced point and voluntary point, Stewart smacked Sting on the ass as they left the stage.

This whole moment was hilarious, absolutely killer.
DM kind of laughed, indicating that she had known about this for a LONG time. Embarassed I felt like a total asshat. Here I was, not even holding the Flag but I was still concerned about not being an asshat in front of DM.
Haha. Oh, hush. Just cuz I know it's going to happen doesn't mean it doesn't trip me out either. I certainly don't want to see myself looking like a doof -- that bit is not my cup of tea.
I swear we had direct eye contact at several points in the show.
Haha. That's cuz you did!
There is no crying at a Police concert.
HA! And there's no dying in baseball! Now why the fuck are we in Utah?!?

Also,

* The car's name is Padre, not Pedro. Despite the fact that even we screwed that up earlier tonight.

* EQ ain't the only goober. Stewart pointed at the damn flag eleventy billion times, but I still couldn't manage to grab a point photo. Argh.

* I heart EQ. He rocks hard core.

* Yeah, Stewart does, too.

Fucking fabulous report, EQ (even if I appear way too often) -- you captured some wonderful highlights from the day. Thanks for sharing the details of such a great story, thanks for glossing over our lesser moments of military -- um -- precision, and thanks to you and Nancy and Miss Kitty for going out there and showing the love and support to Stewart. I am so glad that we had the chance to hang and chat and share a show together, especially such a fun one!

Yay.

Thank you, Rob!

Thank you, Stewart.

ETA: Thanks for the disc reminder.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

So we all go to the rented SUV which the gals named Pedro. At this point, the organizational skills and tactics of the girls almost scare me.
Oh, good, we were debating a name in Concord, glad to hear that Pedro's (EDIT: Padre) been christened!

Yeah, we were all logistical-like in Concord too!

Great story EQ. Keep it coming ... :!: Glad you all had so much fun.

What a great report, EQ.

That was a killer report EQ. Great job. I felt like I was there. An amazing experience for sure. So much different than the Vegas Show WE were at.

Yeah, alot of differences, one is me NOT SCREAMING in your ears. Lol

I am so glad you all had such a blast. STEWART smacked Sting on the ass..that is too funny and can't wait for pictures. :D

Glad you guys and gals got alot of flag points. There is nothing like being in a panic attack toward the end of a police show praying to god if STEWART is gonna point at the Flag. Thank Gong he did or I would have needed paramedics.

Thanks for the report gang. You did Copelandia proud. I hope you all get some rest now. I know you are all Beyond exhausted. I know how long a drive it is you all took. I went to another concert a few years back and I drove from Antioch, (near Concord) to Bakersfield. From Bakersfield to Vegas. From Vegas To Reno and then to SLC. I was fucking fried. You all take care now and get rest.
