From Stewart Copeland: big thank you with free MSG tickets

Except for those of us who will be on a plane to celebrate his birthday in person (grumble grumble) ... will have to check on wireless availability at both ends!

8) Thanks for the hint, Gio! I'm glued to this place enough and was prepared to camp out in front of my monitor tonight. Now I can rest.... :D

Down here that cream is "whipped" -- but "whipping" sounds like way more fun somehow.

Oh bugger. I was looking forward to an all night 'hit refresh' party. :-)

I understand why we're all a little highly strung about this (particularly people who got badly screwed over), but out of respect for our collective (and at this point in the tour, possibly tenuous) grasp on sanity, how about we don't get too wound up about the possible details until we know what the score is? If Giovanni is promising pie endorsed by Mr Copeland, I'm content to salivate in ignorance about the precise nature of the filling until such time as the dish is served.

The post-lottery logistics might be a little challenging, but for goodness sake people, we've had over 14 months of practice by now. And we seem to be pretty good at sorting out this stuff.

Do you know how much packing and express shipping would be for a refrigerated item to Italy???

It would be a $100 pie by the time you got finished with it. He'll just have to come over here and get it!

First ever listserve I was on, we actually did that (about 12 years ago). I made purple profiteroles. I'll bring over my piping bag. Prefer to source food dye locally for obvious reasons.

(Sweet mother of gong - of all the threads to drag this wildly off topic. Shutting up now.)

Hey Gio,

How about some nice Florida style, home-grown AND baked key lime pie. mmmmmmmm. Now that is tart and sweet. Kind of like Roxanne.
