OK, you other folks who have called and managed to cancell - did you have to wait for them to call you back later with information on whether your request was "approved" or not?

I just called now and was told I'd have to wait to hear from them "later today...maybe not until tomorrow" to find out if they'll approve the cancellation. Though at least the guy I spoke to admitted "that's a pretty big jump in seats...I should think they'd approve it."

(But anyway, yeah...decided not to fuck around and wait any longer. I need that $400 off my credit card.)

They can not tell you where your upgraded seats will be.
So they are asking you to double down and bet that you won't get fucked again.

That's probably because they don't know which seats will go unused from the packages or some other allotment (or may be hoping they start selling, whatnot)...and instead of doing right and offering the best available upfront in compensation for complete f*up they're putting everyone on hold behind phantom buyers they're hoping for but may not get.
