FANS BEING SCREWED BY MSG, LIVENATION AND TM

Postby Schmaffy on 21 Jun 2008 00:31
hahahaha Schmaff...do I have to get the hose? <giggle>
Hahaha - all I could think of when I read that was "It puts the lotion in the basket or it gets the hose again." Shows where my mind is.

I'm putting my son to bed now. Maybe if I'm lucky I can stay up all the way until 10:00!!

G'night all! Good luck (I'm in the same boat) and try not to let this clusterfuck suck all the joy out of your weekend. It is Friday after all - and I for one am blessedly free of the corporate bullshit chains that bind me.

Love you all...

Yeah, seems like everything's up in the air until Monday anyway, so...I'll turn the fire-breathing down until then.

I am so sorry for everyone for it stinks

Hope every thing is sorted out for everyone...

remember there is a power in numbers....

maybe this needs to be attacked by a group or by a show that affects the people....Don't blame the band just the people behind it......

though I love to be there my thoughts are with you.....voices are heard if they are loud enough and president ..... attack as a group not as one....
Kiss me you fool

This really stinks. I hope things get straightened out for all involved. Lousy way to have the tour experience end.

What was said in yesterdays' interview? I haven't read/heard it yet.
It was the BBC one-- you'll have to listen to it. Basically they were pretty snarky-- especially Stewart and Sting.
I think they're playing to the media. I thought it was pretty funny actually.

Ha ha ha, just you wait if the ball gets dropped even further on this.

I've got a long train ride today, which I think I may put into use drafting a few letters.

No doubt it was funny, but there's truth in there, too.

I listened to it last night. Mmmmm, the announcer said one of the interviews was profanity laden. There were only 2 'fucks'. That's very good for Stewart! Well, there was some interesting stuff. Does sound like they are definitely ready for an end. Seems like some of the 'real' stuff is coming out. Like the rehearsal stuff (Reminded me of what he said in Savannah about them rehearsing for 4 months and the Savannah ensemble worked everything out in 6 hours.) Interesting stuff.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

Just FYI.

Not sure how many of you have experienced this. Ticketmaster did NOT call me back yet (though they did say it could take 3-4 business days to resolve).

However, someone from thepolice.com (what he said) left me a voicemail. He said he would be out of the office for the rest of the day, but I could email over the weekend and tell him what I wanted to do, and he would handle it on Monday.

My options:
1. they would happily find me upgraded seats if I would like to pay the difference.
2. they will help me process my order cancellation and get a refund.

So, there is a temptation to see what they would offer as far as seat upgrades, but frankly, I have a bunch of money locked into this and I would really just like to get that money back (and strangely, likely spend it on another Police concert!).

Will update you all as soon as I hear on Monday. Fingers crossed but I am not hoping for any miracles.

And, yeah, I love the way Papacat thinks!

Thanks for posting this update...each person who pursues this contributes to the outcome of the whole!!

Wishing the best for all & personally gearing up for round 2 on Monday!

Y'all should have seen PapaCat in action yesterday--he was like a one-man campaign and what he did in an hour was nothing short of amazing!

This was a blessing in disguise. I have now been cured of my buring desire to set all things aside in order to go to the final show.

Got back from a run and this was on my mp3 player.
I thought it was appropriate.
They play it during the Flames warm up.

You would think someone over at The FanClub would raise hell about this, Paid members that used Pre-sale codes being moved, this could become a PR nightmare. Bad press, feeling of unwill, and not only for the boys but PBS. NY lose out in the long run.

Just a very sad situation. The fanclub saying we can upgrade you but you have to pay, Holy crap if I heard that on the phone I'd tell them where to Shove It.

The Fanclub should be in crisis management mode. Do right by the fans, not TB or LiveNation. The legacy of The Police is at stake here.

Sorry for the rant.

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh.
