FANS BEING SCREWED BY MSG, LIVENATION AND TM
Plus yesterday's interview, while enjoyable, it was kind of worrisome. Is this whole thing unraveling under our eyes?
What was said in yesterdays' interview? I haven't read/heard it yet.
Basically it looks that all the much mature, more Zen, hugs and kisses etc of the last year's interviews are BS. They are yet again at each other's throats. Or at least that is what I evinced, with Sting Hoarse Whisperer and giggling, Stew in a fit of ironic, breathless finally I can speak the truth and Andy in the middle as usual.
Can you just imagine what STEWART would be saying here on the forums if we were still the private little community that went unnoticed to the eyes of Reuters and the like? ;) No Wonder he's lurking! Heaven forbid his honesty derails the moneytrain!

OMGONG! Methinks the pending Dinner Tales suddenly got much more juicy!

Just an update from a post on tp.com:

>I called TM -they said to call back Monday -they r overwhelmed with
>these calls and need to figure it out-they should be able to cancel
>then-THEY BETTER!!!!

So...hopefully maybe there will be SOME kind of info on cancellation possibility by Monday.

Even though we’re not going to make MSG, I certainly feel for you nutters.

I’m still doing battle with Ticketfuckingba$tard over reimbursement of my derailed Hawaii shows from back in February – I’d rather listen to EBYT on repeat with a fork stuck in my eye than have this insult perpetuated. My only consolation is that I’m a nasty thorn in their side right now.
Further insult to injury: I had to buy another FC membership to gain access to those Hawaii shows – now I have no tan lines and another gong damned poster to keep the other one in the closet company.

Ticketba$tard prime directive/mission statement:
Maximum profit on ALL shows/events.
All other directives are rescinded.
Corporate greed above all.
Kneel trembling before your new overlord.

This obviously needs to get straightened out - post haste.
Nobody wants to see an anticlimactic ending to Tourzilla.

Coup d’etat peoples….show no quarter.

What the hell does that mean?
°It means I’ve failed as a parent.

this fucking sucks and perhaps a lawyer needs to get involved if no one is able to resolve their ticket issues. Period. They should not be allowed to switch your seats period, if they tell you that your order is confirmed, stand down and say..you confirmed my tickets..you let me sit in the original place, do not switch me. NOT OK.

Sorry. I feel for you all who have been thru all this hell with ticketbastard and I hope that everyone gets everything worked out.

I suspect that most lawyers would advise that it would not be worth the fees/costs to hire a lawyer for something like this. Unfortunately, the people behind this fiasco know that.

Yeah, I think a hungry reporter looking for a juicy story that could generate bad publicity might be in order here.

I'm kind of against the negative publicity thing. Not really the way I want The Boys to go out. But I'm not sure my voice should really count as I am not really directly affected since I don't have a ticket for the last show (though I had planned to possibly go and buy Stew heaven tix but now that has gone out the door).

Yeah, I meant to point out that it should be bad publicity directed at the boys but to the incompetence of the management (if that's who responsible here) which has already really f-ed things up with the ever shifting last show on this tour. But we all know too well how well the media contorts things.

Don't let this discourage you EQ, it's still gonna be one heck of a party! This'll get fixed, we'll get all excited, and we'll absolutely burn it down! Join us in the back of the arena, it'll be the party row I promise!

I think the best way to resolve this is to put pressure on TM, personally.

Several reports from people who've called today were being told TM has been flooded with these calls. First, makes me wonder how many people this happened to. Second, brings an interesting paradox to light.

TM is the bane of most concert-goer's experience with their control, monopoly, ridiculous 'fees' and other things. But in this case, their very power and absolute domination may be a force that can be channeled towards a resolution.

Think jujitsu: redirection of opponents force against him/her to your advantage...While we are mostly at the mercy of it, in this case I think we can weild it a bit...

If TM did not actually make this decision to move seats around independently (if it was a mgmt thing and or venue) then I'll tell you this: TM is powerful enough to redirect the shitstorm they receive towards the responsible party. Think that's the ticket to getting things fixed.

I can also tell you this: someone's getting some emails, phonecalls, text messages, Good Year blimp banners, papyrii, etched runes, and other forms of communication over this...

Hey all. I've been keeping up with this thread and I am deeply saddened about how ticket holders are being treated.

This is definitley a slap in the face and a horrible way to end Tourzilla. I hope this will be resolved for everyone.

Unfortunately, the fan loyalty is much of what TM preys upon. The desire not to hurt the band is like a shield for TM to hide behind while they exploit and maim the fans.

Fact of the matter is, any reservations about using legal and appropriate means of complaint, including the media, only enables TM to get away with this kind of nonsense. I'm sorry for any collateral damage done to Stewart and Andy, but they do have the option of taking the high road and siding with the fans, if they should so choose.

If you really expect TM to make good on this, I think you all will have to be willing to direct every legal and appropriate pressure upon TM. They are ruthless uncaring exploitative fan-bleeding corporate bastards. They will exploit any and every possible weakness, including your love of the band.
