"TUESDAY 2007 JANUARY 9th
And a happy new year to everybody !!
Ok, what are we going to wish each other, apart from health and peace ?
Love? Yes, plenty!!!
Since Christmas, everyone is asking whether the Police will reform or not.. good question.. All I can say, and I have got my sources, is that serious discussions are taking place. So, I reckon, it is going to happen..
Cool, or what?

The Police reunion.. the Police 2007.. you read tons of things and, believe me, if that happens, we are going to enjoy it.
And i don’t have to tell you how universal are going to feed us Police stuff. Between you and I, I would rather listen to Police on radio that to most of the stuff I hear.

So, let’s talk anniversary : friday, january the 12th, will be the anniversary of the first rehearsal stewart and I did with Sting. At stewart’s flat.
That was on January 12th, 1977. that day, sting arrived with his son Jo, in a travel cot and us, stewart and I, we were waiting for him in the sitting room, dressed like bandits, shades on, and we had adopted the dangerous rockers pose!!!! Ah,he probably thought we were idiots. But then, we played, and sting accepted to join the band and the Police was born.
Cool or what?

Should we celebrate this friday ? I feel like it.
After all, as stewart and miles said, I got those 2 together 2 years ago when we recorded ‘welcome home’. It was, after all, a pretty good title, a sort of a premonition.

Ok, I will look for an idea and I will come back to make you a present. The first of the year with the Police… or let’s say a sort of a revamped version of it, but a real one!!
Let’s check on Friday.

hi to all. can somebody confirm, but this 30th anniversary that everyone speaks about as 30 years since first single,etc.(i'm not going to mention reunion! not confirmed so dosen't exist). on the 16th of august it will be 30 years since Andy played with and as part of a 3 piece Police as we know it, the day ELVIS died. for me this is the anniversary, not when Henri was in the band or Roxanne was realeased. so if a reunion takes place (sorry i've mention it) the first show should be on the 16th August.am i right or wrong.

I started my critizied hopes, with the 30th anniversary of first time Andy, Stewart and Sting played like THE POLICE (August 1977) as the date they would do a reunion...

Now new posts, like Henry's, thinks me It will happen the 30th anniversary of the first rehearsals of THE POLICE on January 1977 ( as Henry says this friday - January 12th 1977) but also perhaps could be the 30th Anniversary of the sell out of "Roxanne" (April of 1977)...

All is possible in POLICE world!!

Andy first joined The Police for an encore at the Marquee, London on June 24.
He did his first concert with them in the Music Machine, London on July 25.
The first 3-piece-band concert took place at Rebecca's in Birmingham on August, 18.
So several days of 1977 could be an anniversary day... so please stop making speculations or suppositions about a possible reunion. It becomes extremely boring !
Just let things happen...

what sting.com says about today January the 12th:

1977: Sting and Stewart began rehearsing with Henri Padovani in Stewart's Mayfair flat. Sting commented:

"We started rehearsing in the living room of Stewart's flat in Mayfair which I was quite impressed with. It wasn't until later that I found out he was squatting there but at the time it all looked extremely solid to me. Stewart had just brought in Henri Padovani. We started playing the ten songs Stewart had written. Altogether Stewart's material lasted all of fifteen minutes. Musically I thought Stewart's ideas were shit. But the energy, the dynamism of the guy really affected me. I thought straight away - this is the bloke for me."
