FANS BEING SCREWED BY MSG, LIVENATION AND TM

Postby samburusunset on 20 Jun 2008 17:47

OK. Just got off the phone with Ticketbastard. They'd be happy to upgrade my seats :D Or can talk to the facility supervisor to see if they'd allow me to cancel my tickets. :x

My original seats were in loge 65 at $179.50 each.

The tickets in section 64, one fucking section over, throw a deflated CHA ball and you'll hit them, are $379!!!! :!: :!:

Sooooo, everything in the 2nd and 3rd ring behind the loge are $379!

Sounds like they are masking off the back sections like in Toronto in November.

I suspect seats at the inexpensive end and the high end are selling and the mid priced stuff is weak in a market that has seen a number of Police concerts and JB having sucked people in.

Meg - you are selling those seats anyway aren't you?

Shouldn't have clicked. Did. EEEEEEWWWWW! You owe me some tequila on the 5th, Mister, to help me erase that image from my mind. I've got a pretty base sense of humor, but. . . .

That said, the aforementioned parties should DEFINITELY dwell there!

WTF?

I never heard of anything like this before.

Plus yesterday's interview, while enjoyable, it was kind of worrisome. Is this whole thing unraveling under our eyes?

Even if not personally involved, I express my solidarity with those who have paid prime $ in this economy to end up screwed.

Of course they would gladly upgrade if I coughed up more dough! How nice of them. I tried to get them to let me exchange those sect 64 for the sect 65 that I had. No go.

What was said in yesterdays' interview? I haven't read/heard it yet.

It was the BBC one-- you'll have to listen to it. Basically they were pretty snarky-- especially Stewart and Sting.

Basically it looks that all the much mature, more Zen, hugs and kisses etc of the last year's interviews are BS. They are yet again at each other's throats. Or at least that is what I evinced, with Sting Hoarse Whisperer and giggling, Stew in a fit of ironic, breathless finally I can speak the truth and Andy in the middle as usual.

Mmmmmm. Well, I guess that puts the kibosh on any notion of a new album folks.

I always thought this tour was going to close the loop and I'm completely happy with that. I want Stewart back to us, anyway.

(Besides, if I have to go through with this Ticketbastard/Livenation shit again, I'm buying stock in Miss Clairol first!)
