My printed section69 tickets are now toast. Apparently, they are printing new section 331 tickets and sending them to me? I don't think so!
OK, I have been on the phone with Ticketmaster for 45 minutes.
NO RESOLUTION at this time. The first person I talked to when I told them about the switcheroo said "how awful. and I am sure we will take care of that for you."
So, next person I get in Customer Service says "Ticketmaster policy clearly states no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges."
My reply: Well, then Ticketmaster cannot EXCHANGE my tickets without asking me either.
I have PRINTED tickets in my hand right now, so there is OBVIOUSLY evidence (besides of course the confirmation email I received 5 seconds after purchase) that the switch was done after the fact.
I said that the TM site allows me to see where I would sit before purchase. I would NOT have purchased section 331 tickets. NO WAY.
Certainly, this is false advertising and unfair business practices.
Finally, a Ticketmaster Supervisor (Jackie) in NY said they tried to get a hold of the promoter but could not. They said they need to speak to the promoter before they can cancel my order. They will try and contact me today, but it may take 3 business days.
I am going to dispute with my credit card company. I am also readying letters for the Better Business Bureau about KSM, MSG, LIVE NATION and TICKETMASTER.
This is completely unacceptable.
