Sorry for the newb type question but other than knowing Craig as the dude in the pink stripe sweater......why is he choked, what are his connections, and what's the story on the biography?

A little bit of background needed so I can go "oh".
check Craig's posts (do a search) and you can read all about it :D
Check the credits on ES:TPIO  A few familiar names are credited.

Thrut Hits session

Postby antoni on 06 Jun 2008 19:24

Here is my answer about that:

This is an old session, not Vancouver, it's an old one from 1980.I got this session directly from Nigel Gray. We have a good relationship since a couple of years ago. There are no secrets, or something special...only that someone from Spain downdload this in a blog with a poor quality and with out permision.Nothing more.Who gave this session to this guy?...uhmmm I don't know, but it was probably Nigel. If there's someone on the forum intrested. just ask to this guy called Carlos!!!

I do not have more things to explain !!!

Toni speaks with conviction.
I like it. I believe him.
That puts my guess well within 30 years of being right.

I'm ok with that.

i hope that's not the last we'll see of you, craig, and i'll second others who have said similiar...

i'm not sure, tho, that i can apologise for loving something 'rare' (gasp!) and 'new' (gasp!), bad conseqences for individuals not withstanding, of course fans want to hear this stuff, that's why it's 'prized'....

(lovin' gordo at 3.37. "oh oh oh oh", lovin' the build up at 3.50 ish with nice rolls from stew and gordo playing octaves, before the tune turns into chris rea at some point around 4 minutes before stew comes back in and it leads up to the next breakdown, and you hear some lovely synchronicity-sounding chimey-percussion bits.....)

well craig, your wording and tone in this thread implies that you are somewhat upset about the 'truth hits' session being distributed (and in cruddy 128kbps as well). seems like you're so upset that you don't want to post here anymore - i hope that's not what you meant.

i have to reiterate my first point: how does posting commercially unavailable police tracks deprive the band or its label of income? perhaps if if some leaves were taken out of U2 or Genesis' book, a full set of outtakes and demo sessions would be officially released, instead of elitist trading circles having exclusive access to them.

let me remind everyone of a few other recordings:

Synchronicity Rehearsals
Ghost Demos
BBC Sessions
etc

I'm *glad* the days are over when only "special people" had access to recording like this.

I'm really not sure what all the fuss is about. If we were talking about sharing lossless versions of commercial available material, sure, that would be clearly damaging to the label. But the present session? Even if it's coming out on a future release, is there really one person here who would not still buy that?

Confused.
To close this issue once and for all, and this will also be my last post.

This has nothing to do with the box set, even though the biography will explain this session in detail. Plus this has also landed someone in the shit.

All the best
