Postby JMRL on 05 Jun 2008 04:11

I came across this version of Truth hits everybody, possible taken form a rehearsal or recording session. Have never heard it before. Anybody has any info on this?

Nice rarity!
Stewart's kit has more bells than it did on Outlandos and it sure sounds like a fretless bass. That should put it past 1980.

Would love to know more about it too.

Joe, can you post it in better quality?

Many thanks for sharing it.

Oh, cool!

Not heard this one before, at first I thought it would be the Truth Hits Everybody '83 version that's been out and about for some time...

Uh oh. Someone's gonna get their ass kicked.

By the way, I think we should support sharing only ROIO (recordings of independent origin). In other words, if you have something that is commercially available or will be commercially available (like in a box set that will be released in September), DON'T BE GIVING THAT STUFF AWAY!!

I know that one may know that a rare track might not actually be a ROIO, if you find out later that it is in fact not, PLEASE LUANNE (~~~~~~) the link.

I suspect we will find out when we read the booklet Craig put together for the new box set in September.

Craig,
I also knew about these recordings. The person who downloaded them in Mediaplayer doesn't want to tell me where he got them from. Maybe the name of the person who gave him the recordings begins with N and finishes with L or maybe it begins with J and finishes with M. All together a little bit suspicious but somebody may understand me........

Salut!

(Not touching the ruh-roh bit here.)

So that was, um, . . .

Well, it was.

I certainly prefer the instrumentally second half to the holy-wow-slow first half.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

There is only one session detail I am curious about:

Toni, Miquel or Joe - if you really do know who has uploaded this file could you please message Craig privately?
