Wow, TOWOS, I was able to post that I am listening to Steve Winwood's new CD 9 Lives (which included I'm not drowning). I just bought that CD which you had recommended. Good stuff from mellower Steve.

You got me curious so I did a quick dig to find this:
"here’s a couple of services you can use to access Pandora from wherever you are (btw, Pandora still works for me although I’m from Croatia; I guess they haven’t covered all the IP ranges just yet):

1. Firefox + anonymous proxy - in Firefox, open Tools - Options - Advanced - Network - Settings. There you have the proxy options. Go to one of these sites:
http://tools.rosinstrument.com/proxy/
http://www.publicproxyservers.com/
http://www.proxz.com/
http://www.stayinvisible.com/

Find some proxies there, enter their details into the proxy options in Firefox. Don’t worry if the first couple of proxies don’t work; it’s a trial and error process.

2. Public CGI Proxies - the easiest method. Randomly chooses a public proxy server; all you have to do is enter the Pandora.com address and enjoy the melodies. "

Seems simple enough- maybe it'll help out our int'l members that wanna use Pandora.

[quote="jedsoon"] NIN, all eras. Trent is totally kicking the music industry's ass right now, detaching himself completely from any label and making all his new songs available in multitrack form for remixing, much as I've suggested Stewart do in the past. I just finished my first remix!

Loving the remix want more 8) :D 8) :D

Thanks for listening!!! I find that particular song very raw, stompy and folk-blues, very American (Pete Seeger and so) and think that Steve's rendition is divine. There are some songs verging more on the mellow, but some are edgier than anything I've heard from him since the end of the 70s.
Good job, Eric!

"I'm Not Drowning" is, I think, the best on the CD. The song with Clapton, "Dirty City" is the one I expected to be the best but Drowning is a better song.

I wonder what Steve will play when he opens for the new Tom Petty tour that starts tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing him on June 8.

I'm totally addicted to the new Coldplay track that's in the Itunes commercial - "Vida la Vida"

Really looking forward to that album release!

Yeah, hubs saw Neto yesterday at the farmers'market and he was leaving for Grand Rapids today!
He played IMND in London, La scala. I have a bootie already (courtesy of some other Winwood nut)
Sorry we haven't planned to attend a Petty concert, but if they play on their own, we'll be there!

BTW, nj, on Vintage Guitar this month Steve is on the cover with the trusty replica of the Aqua Fender Firebird (love it! They stole it in 1973 and Fender made an exact replica for him - it's the "Fantasy" guitar) and there is a HUGE interview on the new record and the Clapton experience.

8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Destined for Thunkage big-time today, I have DENTS behind my head already and I haven't even played the same old set.

I'm Not Drowning is my favorite tune on the new album as well. Be sure to pick up the Best Buy edition as it comes with a 30-minute dvd including interviews and performance including EC!
