DAMN it. I have had the world's worst earworm for about a week now...the song "Shambala" by Three Dog Night, which I heard by chance one night in a restaurant.

I dunno what it is. Probably the guitar line in the chorus, and the WOOOOOOs and yeahs...

Be warned! You may infect yourself by clicking here:

(link set to expire after a couple weeks)

(Hm. Maybe I'll make a Hideous 70s Mix, since this song would segue nicely into another fave of mine, "Dark Horse" by George Harrison...)

I didn't even click and I've got the worm! That's a powerful song!

Yowp! Sorry Mad...guess I should think twice before posting something so lethal, eh? ;)

Thanks for asking. I'll be on crutches for the foreseeable future, most likely a couple of weeks at least. Sigh.

(I was feeling kind of low about it this morning, because of so much I won't be able to do - carrying a drink on crutches really sucks - but then it occurred to me that I *could* have torn up both my arm and my ankle, and then I'd really have been in a pickle...)

Sting's 6 song CD with the Demolition Man remake from 1992(?) for the Grace Jones movie and 5 live songs. The CD was mentioned last week which prompted me to dig it up. Good version of King of Pain.

John Williams' Indiana Jones scores have been in constant rotation, plus some Star Wars too. I'm mesmerized by the new Indy flick!

NIN, all eras. Trent is totally kicking the music industry's ass right now, detaching himself completely from any label and making all his new songs available in multitrack form for remixing, much as I've suggested Stewart do in the past. I just finished my first remix!

Saturday Night Fever. The most perfect, most essential dance album EVER. I've been listening/dancing to it constantly.

Just a little bit 'o Stew, namely the Equalizer album, which is in the John Williams box right now.

VF Wing. Always, natch

It DOES rock. A couple of us were suggesting it to Madgrad in another thread as a way to learn about new bands, based on some she already likes. And hey, you can't beat free/no commercials!

Aw man! Now I've got "Land of Confusion" earwormed...At least I get a break from "Shambala" for a few minutes...;)

Start "singing" the Indiana Jones theme-- that'll get rid of it. 8)
