Well, had a weird night's sleep. My neck's a little sore from the accident. We started calling him "Sting fan" right after he hit us, but he never really showed a major preference.
The officer was a little annoying. We wanted a police report (lower-case p) for insurance purposes, but the officer really didn't want to write it and that made us look like the bad guys:
Officer: If you guys just want to work it out yourselves, I won't have to give anyone a ticket.
Stingfan: I'll pay for everything. Don't worry, I'll give you my info.
Rancid Date: Umm, I work for a police department, and we need an accident report.
Stingfan: Come on!! This is already going to cost me a fortune!!
Officer: I'll be in my car writing the report, come get me if you change your mind.
So we felt like jerks, but I've known too many cases where no report=no money. He did calm down and we started talking about the show. In the end I ended up giving him a CDR of Police rarities I had in the car and he was pretty thankful for that since he hadn't heard anything but the albums.
My tailgate is pushed in and I need to call and see about deductables and all. The show buzz kinda kept me from really freaking out about my poor Soobie.
Anyhoo, had a great time at Spectators, got to sign the flag, and chat with everyone. Our seats were in a section that was up high, but had a good view and it was nice that I didn't have a stack of speakers pointed directly at me.
During Roxanne, I became completely distracted by a girl in the floor section. She was waving glo-sticks in the air and dancing toward the stage. The bouncers would spot her and force her toward the back of the floor where she'd promptly choose a different aisle and dance toward the stage again. That happened over and over and I just found it highly amusing for some reason.
Anyway, great show! Sting said they last played Orlando in '83 "when you were 10." There was a good bit of clowning around and Sting and Stewart were impatiently waiting for Andy to join them for the bow and Stewart broke into a little Klark Kent dance for a second.
The only down side is that the Sting fans have decided to take out our means of transport. They won't get rid of us that easily! Mwaaahaahaha!
