Pecker soundtrack

Pecker soundtrack

Postby MPR on 04 Dec 2006 20:09

Hi
Second of my questions for this forum - thank you for your patience.

Is the soundtrack to Pecker available to buy?
If not, was it ever available?
Has it been discontinued?

I watched the film recently (pretty good actually - endearing, but pretty damn tame by Waters' standards) and there's a particular piece of music contained in it that I'm keen to track down.
It was quite short, quite manic, playful and uptempo (not much help, I know, sorry)

Thanks in advance for any help / replies.

Hello there,

It's available used and new on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Pecker-Soundtrack ... F8&s=music

But you could try ebay or musicstack.com if you'd prefer.

Good luck!

About a year or so after the movie came out, I saw a listing on eBay for a set of Promo CDs that featured some of Stewart's scores from this period. I believe the three scores included were Very Bad Things, Pecker, and a sci-fi movie on Fox that was executive produced by Francis Ford Coppola whose name I'm forgetting. I think it wound up going for several hundred bucks. Anyway, I noticed on the track listing for Pecker that there was at least one track that was not included on the CD. I think it was the scene at the beginning when Pecker and his friend are creating mayhem in the supermarket. The music seemed cool and I was always disappointed it wasn't among the cues included on the CD. The same thing happened with the Leopard Son score. There was a cool piece of music in the movie that featured the giraffe's that had some great funky Stanley Clarke bass and it wasn't in the official CD but i found it on a promo cassette I got back in the late '90's. Leaving cool bits of music off Soundtrack releases is a big pet peeve of mine.
