Interesting little detail...

Interesting little detail...

... for me anyway !
If you have "Everyone Stares" on DVD, run it after 59 minutes and watch the
Ghost studio session footage, with Sting overdubbing his bass on "Secret Journey". You will see Hugh Padgham on the mixing desk... and Andy climbing on a table to take pictures !
Well, this picture is in Andy's photograph book "Throb" !
First plan you can see Sting hanging his head while playing his bass, half-hired behind him is Hugh Padgham and at the back, left of the picture you can see.... Stewart filming !!!

I like these sorts of details so much, not you ?

Isn't that the coolest thing? There are also scenes during the Zenyatta sessions that we've seen before in Danny Q.'s book. And the one I like the best is the De Do Do Do video where you see Stewart with the camera, and now we get to see what he flimed. Thank you Stewart!!

Yeah, you're right Kim.
Another great scene is the photo session for "Zenyatta" and the parallel with Stewart's shot: one "click" and the picture appears !

I get a little personal kick out of noticing the T-shirt Sting wears in one of the shots on the back of Zenyatta, that's from a bar down the street from my house...maybe someday I'll get to read about that gig (Exit/In, Nashville, TN, probably sometime in 1980.)

Here's my current favourite little detail: In Andy Summers' book, One Train Later, he describes the post gig party at Leixlip Castle, Dublin on July 27, 1980, hosted by the wealthy Guinness family.
Note that Stewart's son with Marina Guinness was born May 9, 1981.

It's kind of creepy that people start looking that closely into your personal life..

But I guess that comes with being a celebrity...

Oh well, I hadn't heard about this either so I guess I'll add to the creepiness...

I think Stewart's deal with Mrs. Guinness is in his Wikipedia entry, so I don't feel terribly guilty discussing it.

The good news is that Patrick is apparently royalty:

Don't we have a photo of him with Gio around here somewhere? I remember thinking he was a cutie. (Not in the lascivious sense, just that he looked like a fun kid.)

In human history, many art genious were in touch in some ways with royalty people, so is common that our musical genious have this relationship in a way with royalty people too.

Well, just a late night point of view...
