Nope, you're not. But you know the funny thing...I'm actually a fan of Phil Collins' solo albums, even though my husband thinks they're the worst dreck ever to be released.

No Jacket Required is probably my favorite. I can't help it; I loved 'In The Air Tonight' the first time I heard it 20+ years ago. The video is great too, though I haven't seen it in years.

I like a bit Genesis, but most for Peter Gabriel.

Phil Collins solo work, for me is annoying...

Well,I think Genesis have been a fantastic group from '70 to '77,the first two albums without Gabriel are quit good, but when Hackett left them, they became a pathetic pop group.Gabriel' stuff is excellent, but Collins too made some good works.

Al, I respect you like Collins works, but my preferences in drummerland are different.

You already know about it...

Of course. :) My favourite drummers are Stewart(he's ever the number one) and Bill Bruford, and I think Collins is a good drummer too, expecially when he played Genesis' early stuff.

Thanks Al!! Y'all can always be relied upon to provide me with choice musical diversions.

Drummers...let's see. Well, there's Charlie Watts and Ringo, and Stewart, and who doesn't love Dave Grohl, and then probably Pixies drummer David Lovering (Jesus, the man can flail). I admit to a certain fondness for Max Roach, as well, and there's a cool guy who plays with Paul Kelly named Peter Luscombe, and Jim Keltner, who played with Nick Lowe...

One drummer that really impressed me was John Paul Bonham, especially with Movy Dick song.

After him, I rather SC/KK drumming.

Ugh.

I'm not even going to read all the responses.

The answer is, it ain't going to happen, so get over it. Sting would rather hang by his toe nails. It's an enigma. We'll never understand it, but he must have his reasons and they must be good, or it would have happened by now.

We know we all want it. We know Stewart and Andy would do it in a heartbeat. We know Sting won't do it. So that's that.

It could still happen one day. It took Cream 37 years, but they finally did. In comparison 20 years isn't that bad. They'll always know we want it, it will happen one day.

As Stewart said in his Italian video:

"For Sting, The Police is competition"

Well, I think we are old enough to understand his reasons, no matter if they are different from ours...
