La Notte della Taranta

Postby Thukol on 28 Oct 2006 16:24

This is my first message in this forum. So CIAO and YO! to everybody!
FIrst of all: I knew and felt in love with the Police, particularly with their rythm...(Oh, dear Copeland!) Since the beginning. In the last '70ies. I was a child.

I had the fortune to know for first time -very late indeed- La Notte della Taranta, in the festa dell'unità of Modena, 9th september 2006. Unforgettable!!
I pray somebody of the back stage staff to throw me a stick of Stewart and now I have it like a Reliquia in my room!!!
I danced all night and I'm waiting to come in Salento to be "tarantulated" again.
I never felt that kind of energy before. I think it's really an exorcism.

Ok, basta qua, se no rompo le palle!
YO!!!!!! :D
I smell the way you love Italy and it's great.
I live 30 minutes to milan and if you compare the land around my town with the southern regions of the country....NO WAY....
anyway I'd like the idea to see you play a gig in Isola Del Giglio....that's a wonderful place...you'd love it!!!!

kisses

F**K YOU VERY MUCH! Stewart grew up in the Middle East, he will certainly prefer the South to BerlusconiLand....
Isola del Giglio is beautiful, but it is nowhere near Milan....

You will have gotten by now, Georgy, that we Italians are a litigious, diverse and divided nation.
8)
After all, we exist as a nation since 1870, and there are times when I don't feel I have anything more in common with somebody from Turin or Milan than I have with somebody from Philadelphia or Guadalajara.

Oh Kalypso!

In me, you have a virtual SC/KK pal from Monterrey Kalypso!

And to me, I have this identification with Italian people, no matter where they are...

Really? I just started to have a dissociation with my country. And I certainly never felt American. Maybe I am a Mexican in disguise. No?

It is so weird...when you grow up in different countries comes a time when you don't know who you are anymore.

I wonder if and how Stewart has always kept such a strong American identity even if he has lived in several, so different, countries.
Night off in Rome, wandering the piazzas waiting for Fiona to arrive from LA. At around midnight at the Piazza Navona she comes around the corner right at the moment when the ten-year-old accordion kid bursts into O SOLE MIO. Rome is like that. Fiona is like that.
Woa man! I knew you were a great rocker, but I didn't know you are such a romantic guy! That's a lucky girl, certainly :D
