I've always been fond of Ray's pizza, but then again I am also big on White Castles.

You'll be nowhere near my hometown of Rochester, but MAN - does this thread ever make me pine for a Nick Tahou's Garbage Plate...

I was gonna say that that pic makes me want to hurl but it looks like someone beat me to it, caught it on a plate, and then took a picture of it.

What the hell is that?

Food of the Gods, my friend.

Choose two items for a base (home fries, french fries, macaroni salad), choose a meat for on top (white hot, red hot, cheeseburger, etc.), then cover the whole damn thing with onions and special beefy sauce. OH - and hot sauce. OH - and ketchup. OH - and mustard too. Mmmmmmm....

:D :D :D

YO.

See EQ's previous comment.

And what the hell is a white hot and a red hot?

Underneath the blech, it looks like home fries and hot dogs. It's that "special beefy sauce" and the heaping swirls of ketchup that really nasty it up something special.

Blurgh.

ETA: Oh gong, someone please take that picture out of my memory.

Sorry - white hots and red hots are types (colors) of hot dogs. In Rochester, there's a "home brand" called Zweigle's which makes KILLER hot dogs. You can find Zweigle's at most of your local Wegman's grocery stores (also a Rochester-based business). http://riffs.com/food/10345909/

This tastes INCREDIBLY good in the middle of the night, after much alcohol. They clean the grill once a year, on the 4th of July, and the food sucks for about a week afterwards until the grease gets a chance to build up again.

Jeez Schmaff, I actually gagged when I saw that photo

Some of it looks like something my cat would produce after a day snacking on grass!!!

You people are all wimps. Here's a better picture:

OH - and I forgot - you can also choose to have BAKED BEANS as one of your two base ingredients.

Does that make it better?

Somehow I'm not so keen on my tea now.

Yuck.

I can only assume that it tastes amazing, but is in serious need of an image consultant.....

I think that looks fantastic, Schmaff. I love nasty greasy trashy food, that looks right up my alley. I'll have to check it out if I ever end up in Rochester :D
