Stewvannah photos - all in one place

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 02 Apr 2008 03:51

Hey kids, here's my stuff from the smaller camera...for some reason they're in reverse chron order, and I don't use Flickr often enuf to figure out how to flip 'em...

Still have some vid I need to upload, too...

Hey Lynne, I have a pretty good cowboy boot - tube sock combo shot I'll email you tomorrow. ;) I think you'll dig it. (Some other Nutters are in it too.)

Oh, and y'all are welcome to grab any of these you want. Lemme know if you need higher-resolution versions.

Bella, your photos are gorgeous! You got some really amazing and animated shots of Stewart. I especially love the two that others have already mentioned. Wow!

Kudos to your grace under pressure...don't know how you managed all that multi-tasking, but I sure am glad you did!

Thanks so much!

Thanks all.

It was such a joy to sit at home last night and be able to check out everyone's photos in one sitting. A big thank you to NJ for putting them all in one thread. AND one post. I love seeing all the different perspectives. I really loved Jschoel's pics of all the nutters walking up to the theater in little groups at a time. I had other love pics I wanted to comment on, but that was last night and now I can't remember and I can't look at the pics at work. bastard firewalls.

Dammit Dive, why didn't you put those pics up while I was still on the computer last night. Now I have to wait to get home...again.

Conroy, thanks for uploading the audio. You rock.

Drummer Dave, if you watched my video, that's the entirety of the Pluto/Stew exchange. They never had the chance to "talk later".

I was happy to do it. Now have Dive's first and so far only set in the begining post of the thread.

Plus it made it easier to steal pics, including one of yours, Bella, for my new avatar.

Let me know if any objects to my use of their photos.

Thanks, everyone.

Especially great shots, bella. I'd bet Gio and Eugenio would love some of those for their book.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

ciao, bella! Those are gorgeous!! You have quite an eye for composition. What model camera do you have, if you don't mind my asking?

I have some more from the big camera - sent them to Eugenio a few days ago. I know Team Italia is having a little computer trouble right now, I'll give them a little more time before I post them myself.

Thank you dive and all. You are too kind. My camera is a Canon PowerShot A610. They probably don't even make this model anymore, it's probably been upgraded. It's not an SLR (someday). The only thing that sucks about it is the zoom is only a 4x digital zoom and the picture looks like crap when you get in that digital zoom range. Oh, and you can't zoom in while recording (like policerule's saweet camera). It took me a while to finally give in and buy a digital camera in the first place. I haven't been without a film camera in my hand since I was about 13.

As for the composition compliment, thank you, thank you. My best advice to anyone is... learn to love the "crop" tool, people. It can be your best friend. It can make pretty much any crap picture look better.

Dive, I can't wait to see your pictures. I was actually drooling over your camera at the show.

Thanks Bella. I didn't mean to sound critical or unappreciative, I was just so excited to hear Dan again, and the dialogue between them was great. Thanks for capturing it.

And Aw... you guys. =o)

Oh No! I didn't think that at all Dave. I was just letting you know that was all there was to that conversation. :D

Thanks for the deets, bella, and for your kind words...I would have to agree on the crop tool. There are a bunch of other post processing toys you can use as well...My husband is a photo maniac who has a lot of software, including a bunch of filters he was kind enough to let me borrow. His favorites are the Color Efex Pro 3.0 set, I think...

I had to really mess with a couple of my photos, since the light was so low in there, I didn't have a tripod, etc...a few of them came out pretty well despite my efforts to ruin them, I don't think anyone will mind if I share one or two...
