amsterdam arena; I have a question

Postby giovanni on 14 Mar 2007 10:29

I just purchased the ticket for Amsterdam Arena and would like to know if my place are standing then I can go close to the stage; I purchased
General Admission (the cost is Euro 85)
and there is a line that says VELD Ingang Zuid G Staanplaats (I don't know what it means).

Anybody can confirm this is ok to go in front of the stage?

Hi Giovanni,

I have no idea what VELD Ingang Zuid G Staanplaats means either :? but from posts on tpt.com I think that Amsterdam is GA and you can go to the front if you want to (and can get past everyone else!). You'd better start sharpening your elbows :D

Hope that helps, lovely leader!

It means "FIELD entrance south G standing places" so I assume you could get near the stage with this tickets. Maybe we have some dutch members here who know the arena better. I've never been there.

Hi Giovanni!,

Here is a layout of the stadium including the position of the stage ("Podium"):

Your ticket entitles you to stand anywhere on the green square (so even close to the front of the stage!)!
See you in Amsterdam!

Take care,
Rogier.

Most concerts in the Arena, have a golden circle. That means that the first 600?? fans who got into the stadion with field-tickets, get an arm-wrist-band and they have entrance closest to the stadion. That means that you have to be early (and sit in a row for a long time) and run like hell as soon as the gates open, to be the first.

I remember in a long-ago thread on TPT forum someone mentioning the golden circle thing as well...but my Dutch isn't so good as to follow the finer points, <grin> so thanks for the explanation!

I'll be waving from sec. 121 for the first night...was thinking of the field for the second night but haven't decided yet...looks like I'll wear my Pumas, if I do :D

I had the same thing in mind. Waving from vak 119 on the first night and running on the field the second one...
