Not sure if this has already been discussed, but how do you all feel about recording and taking pictures of the concerts? Think it will be strictly forbidden and backed up by mega security? Or passive? Or allowed/almost encouraged like Phish or DMB?

Also depends on your venue, Spec. I'd expect recording devices to be out completely, but camera rules are different for each venue. (Hell, my venue doesn't even allow backpacks!) Not to mention that security people at the gate and customer service reps on the phone don't always go by the same rules.
I try not to sneak stuff generally, BUT I'll share two useful rules of thumb that almost always work:
1. Aim for the fastest-moving line. That's the guard that's just blazing through and isn't inspecting too closely. NEVER get in the line that crawls cuz that guard is going to inspect every orifice of you and your pack.
2. Women-only rule: if it's small enough, stick it in your bra or in your pants, then aim for a MALE security guard in a fast-moving line. (It's a double standard for sure, but it does work: men get patted up whether the guard is male or female; but a lot of male guards are (smartly) wary to get too feely of women at the gate.)

I took a pic of them in the late 70's in Montreal and I still have it. The band didn't seem to care then now it's about $$$$$. That's why there's a fee to join the police tour forum. So my advise is get a pen camera or audio device with a built in flash and zoom. They'll never guess what it does.

In Sweden it's almost TOO easy getting in with your camera. I tend to hide in in my bra (like above said) anyway though.

My tickets clearly state no video recorders or cameras. I won't be taking the chance on sneaking anything -- I've waited 24 years for this concert; I can wait a few more months to see it again on DVD.

What about one of these.

If it gets confiscated no harm no foul only $10 down the drain.
Or maybe to get them in digital format.
