There an amazing I.R.S. Documentary in the making!
So many great interviews (including Stewart Copeland) about the label run by Miles Copeland - Stewart's brother - that was ruling the charts in the Eighties!

You can visit the website and watch the trailer at the following link:
WE WERE ONCE REBELS: THE STORY OF I.R.S. RECORDS AND ITS UNLIKELY RISE TO PROMINENCE.

No Speak was a gr8 label that released gr8 stuff.

Well, I like obscure unpopular things.

Hopefully it will include some shots of the outside of the building. So many times I drove by that place on Lankershim Blvd across from Universal Studios...and never took a picture!

I remember the Cutting Edge show on MTV that used Stew's Kinetic Ritual as the theme song, and there was a scene with Stan Ridgway arguing with somebody on Lankershim in front of the building, while Belinda Carlisle of the Go-Go's waited off to the side. Crazy. I had that segment on VHS somewhere, but I think I taped over it. Arrgghhh.
