In other words, "Sting doesn't want to do it, and Stewart is too busy".

Or he's just warming up for the Police next year
Last week he did say that next year there was a ton of Police stuff coming in celebration of the Outlandos 40th anniversary

If you're a doctor, you practice medicine.
If you're a baseball player, you play baseball.
If you're a musician, you play music. And you try to do it often.
Andy played a significant part in bringing those song to life and "Policifying" them. His unique stamp is on those songs. So I think it's great he plays them. There's nothing negative, in my opinion.
I just wish they'd also perform Omegaman, Someone to Talk To and other Andy songs from his vocal solo album.
As I've mentioned here several times, I wish Andy and Stewart would hire a great singer and go on the road and play all those great and fun songs they both wrote for the Police and Sting refused to play.
How cool would it be to hear A Sermon, Miss Gradenko, Bombs Away, Darkness and more... Stewart is actually an excellent song writer.

What I meant:
Having your band play your older songs from a different band = great.
Forming your own cover band = mega weird.
I am a devoted follower of both Stewart's and Andy's solo careers (yet to get into Gordon's), and was disappointed how only ONE non-Sting song was played in 2007, and only on some shows.
P.S. Oh, and Stewart is not a very good SONGwriter. When it comes to strong vocal melody and lyrics his Panic Mode kicks in, and he just wants to not do it. He only did that for a few years, and almost never tried again.
