I'm definitely considering it especially with the great airfare I'm finding for that week. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

Well, I totally agree about the fact it's ugly  .
Is it sure it's the final artwork ? It could be far better...

Heathrow - waiting for my flight to Dallas
had a perfect meal here: a sandwich, some crisps and a Cherry Coke

... and back from Dallas / again in Heathrow

4 days in Dallas without a cellphone or internet access, how great was that ? felt like the '80s !

I went to the Dare To Drum premier with Conroy on Thursday, took a lot of photos for the PoliceWiki, of course
(red carpet stuff with Stewart and John Bryant, Q&A afterwards)

Friday was mostly spent in records shops, found some more stuff for the PoliceWiki

Saturday / 2nd screening with Conroy and Gina K. - again with a Q&A afterwards

left on Sunday, right after John Bryant from D'Drum brought some discs and posters
that image here is NOT the final design for any disc release
sadly a release is not lurking around the corner, the movie might see some festivals first

it's a great and funny movie / I'd say it's more a comedy than a documentary
lots of nice and funny people create music, there's some drama (that snow storm) and a happy end
a bit of The Police, too

I'll work on PoliceWiki pages for those days in Dallas and send links later today or first thing on Tuesday (today is Monday, right ?)

Hello all!

It's been a long time, and I've been away from things related to D'Drum and the Gamelan D'Drum project..until a couple of months ago. Aside from being a full time professional musician, I dabble in doing websites. So, I was approached by John Bryant to help design a site for the upcoming OFFICIAL release of Dare To Drum on DVD, Blu Ray and streaming services. From John's recent Kickstarter mailer:

"On Tuesday, September 19, 2017, Kino Lorber will make our film available for downloads, streaming rentals, and DVD sales on iTunes, Amazon, Vimeo, and many other online sources. And as an important bonus, not only will the 85 minute documentary be delivered, but also added as a part of the package will be the concert film of the full 30 minute, 3 movement work that is the centerpiece of Dare To Drum. Both films presented in 5.1 Surround Sound."

So, Dietmar, the aforementioned artwork is NOT the final design. You can see the new design, along with other information, a trailer, images, etc. at

http://www.daretodrumfilm.com

I would appreciate feedback on the website, but please be nice. I don't work for a large, fancy design firm. Just little ol' me.

Take care!
