Trying to copy Stewart's drum track

I have just finished a home recording of 'Bring on the Night'. Our 7yr old daughter Masha is a huge fan. She's singing the track. (I'll see if I can add a link to her version here soon). I always knew how detailed and outstanding Stewart's drumming is. Trying to copy the drum track was so too difficult...I did my best on my sequencer. I continue to discover new drumming nuances even after hearing your songs for 30 years...mind puzzling!

Personal note: Stewart, I remember seeing you guys on Montserrat back in the early 80's. My brother and I lived there for 12 years. I had the pleasure of recording at Air Studios myself, just some piano compositions, great memories!

Thank you for the inspiration you're talent gives other people.

Hi, welcome Gary! Nice to see a fresh face around here.

I had the pleasure to spend some time on (and fall in love with) Montserrat in the late 80s/early 90s myself. Truly a magical place. Learned to windsurf from the guy down on Old Road Bay near the Vue Pointe, I think of those times often and keep wanting to go back, even though it kills me to see how much of the island is still buried under volcanic ash.

Welcome Gary, thanks for sharing your story.

Montserrat: I haven't been there so far...is it still advisable to go there for a holiday? Or is almost everything covered under ashes - do people still live there?
I've lost focus on this island after the eruption in 1995.

UPDATE: Just studied the Wikipedia articlehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montserrat, looks not that good...

Where exactly were the AIR studios located?

Hi Jeff,

People are still on Montserrat, about 4000. The island is still very nice, not much going on...diving, hiking, and relaxing. The volcano has let off a bit...not much going on. Air Studios is up the hill from Old Road Bay, a place called Friths.... it's abandonded. Montserrat is a very unique place, very friendly and crime free. Check it out someday. I'll try to post some pics soon. Thanks, gary
