Festival de la Porta Ferrada concert

Yesterday I saw something that I would never imagine I would enjoy so much. Definetely, jazz-rock or progressive rock are not between my main musical interests but Stewart and Stanley made me change my mind yesterday night. I can hardly remember a so intense concert and Stewart performance was so POWERFUL and BRILLIANT as we all know he can be.
For me, high point of the concert was Birds of Prey with the guitar replacing all the missing instruments required for that song. Brilliant job of the guitar and keyboard players too, whose names I can´t remember, sorry!
We also enjoy the soundcheck from the stage, beside Stewart, and later had a chat with him and Stanley. Stewart was doing the soundcheck with no gloves so I asked him later why no gloves today. He told me that this is jazz and that he would play soft and quiet because he has to be playing for 20 years more and has to be conservative with his fingers. Later at the concert, I think he forgot about that...
Last but not least, we had a guest, Larry Coryell came on stage and played a song. Superb as usual. Tonight he is playing a tribute to Miles Davis with Omar Hakim, Darryl Jones, etc... I will attend that concert too...
I took 3 days of vacation in Sant Feliu de Guixols, my summer city, for Stewart, Miles Smiles today and The Manhattan Transfer tomorrow concerts and, so far, it is going great.

More to come when Toni or Miquel have recovered from the concert...
