My new SC Signature 14pc set

My new SC Signature 14pc set

Postby tamajt on 13 Mar 2009 12:31

I never thought I was going to own one of these since they were all sold out and the kit my store got was sold to Tamadude. Tama was kind enough to go on the hunt and they found one of the last 14pc sets out there. I am digging the Gong drum and tymp toms. My room is full now. By the way, my other replica blue sparkle and matching Octos are on Ebay right if anyone is interested. i don't really need that kit anymore. You can view many of those photos on the "nutters drumkits" thread. Enjoy the pics!

Wow! Major coolness! No 12" tom? Was the ride custom made?

Congratulations!

Very nice, tamajt. I was wondering about that ride, too.
It looks like one of those Paiste colour sounds I had back in the 80's.

Yes, that's a custom ride. Not too bad lookin', eh?

JT's got some good connections.

They all came with a 12"; He's just hiding it somewhere.

I am trying to figure out where to put that dang 12" tom! It here but is just not in the photo. Those tymp toms are where it would usually go. maybe I will go back to 3 up top.

As for the ride, it is a custom made 2002 22" ride in the blue colorsound coating. I got it last November. It is not a colorsound. Paiste used the 2002 logos in white(Colorsounds said Colorsound 5) It is cool! And is the only one out there in the world(according to Paiste) Good eyes people!

Tamadude, your kits looking good man!

Sweet! But after looking at your photos, I'm madly trying to mop up the drool on my keyboard before it causes some damage.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.

Dang that is sweet looking. I agree, have to wipe drool off of keyboard ...duh.

The other day, a friend of mine and I were talking and somehow in the conversation "drum kit" was brought up. He has NO idea what kind it is. I am calling him tomorrow to see if I can come look at it and find out what it is.....mmmm. Curious to know what it is. I told him...if it is a TAMA...do not sell that to anyone, but me. We can work out something. He said its some fancy thing and looks nice. According to him.

Will see what it is and keep you posted :D I may be jumping on the drum kit bandwagon too. OMG.

This thread makes me want to complete my set. Anyone know where there's a 14 piecer? Maybe I can talk them into breaking it up.

I found out about my friends kit. It is a black Pearl....NOT a TAMA
Frack. Oh well. I had hopes. He is gonna send me a pic of it later. He sent one and it was a blurry pic.

He is putting it on E Bay..soon. He had not worked out a price yet.

So that is the story on that one folks.

Pearls? Isn't that those things chicks wear on thier necks?

I do feel for ya, Shan. But don't worry, your kit will come.

I admire your tenacity in only accepting Tama! Truly Nutter blooded, you are!

On JT's kit, is anyone else digging those 602s? Rare beauties, they are. Please email me if you know where I can pick up a good set of those babies.

I love 602s as well Tama--ebay always has a few up at any given time, varying condition and prices, but you will definitely find what suits you if you take a peek on there with some regularity. Honestly I'm torn between the 602s and the Zildjian a custom/sweet series and it changes with the day. May have to, some day, have both sets <grin>
