Is it worth buying the new DROIDS DVD to listen to the soundtrack again I wonder!
That theme song was quite catchy...
Something to do with being in trouble again?
Maybe we could get a reissue of that since Star Wars is selling everything it can this year!

You may want to rent it first - I read somewhere that the soundtrack for the DVD was rerecorded by someone other than Stewart.
A big thanks ...

... for sharing your musical gifts with the rest of us. I listen to your soundtrack music quite a bit while I write. I even named a character after you (well, and drummer Neil Peart, too) in a Star Trek story I wrote that was published a couple of years ago (Anyone curious can check out "The Road to Edos" in the Star Trek: New Frontier -- No Limits anthology).
So ... thanks. And as for the webcast, keep the DLM clips coming -- and the end theme of DROIDS would be cool, too!

Bringing back this subject from the past (last post sep. 2005!!), I just wonder if this magnificent intro is available in some compilation (Droids/Star Wars Soundtrack).
I know it's a very short piece of music, but never the less one of my favourite (non-Police) Stewart compositions
The only thing I know, is that all Stewart's work are removed on the DVD's

It was released on videotape, which i have in addition to Ewoks. Strangely, i still haven't converted them to digital yet. Just waiting to amass enough Stew tunes to justify burning a new CD. I may start renting movies he's scored to accomplish this faster!

Such a great tune. Talk about totally getting inside C-3P0's electronic brain. That gig was such a coup for Stew.
Does anyone know who sang lead on that tune? Was it Stewart or his pal Derek Holt? I love that high voice. Imagine if Sting were to have sung it.

Derek was the vocalist on that tune. I always thought Derek got the gig because of how much he sounds like Stewart!
I think it was the Costas interview where Stew talked about being willing to do anything to get in the door (with Lucasfilm) due to being such a fan. I keep hoping he might end up with the Star Wars tv show gig as well, but Lucas seems to have severed his ties with Stew. Bad George, bad!
Still, i can understand Lucas wanting something more modern for the new releases. Maybe now that Stewart is more in the public eye he will get the call! I bet Star Wars is something he'd make room in his schedule for!
