Hey yall,
I've listened to my downloaded Police bootlegs tons and tons now, and I keep trying more but they are always very poor sound quality. Could someone recommend a few from any era, especially outlandos and regatta, that are either soundboard or radio broadcasted shows?
thanks!!!

Of that first one, I recall Sting's voice going a bit.
My favorite remains the one from My Father's Place on Sting's birthday in '79. Regatta de Blanc had just come out and they were on fire. I've tried to clean it up in Pro Tools (w/Soundsoap) and will try to master it to boost the levels. Once I do I'll be happy to share.

I'll second the motion on My Father's Place.
That gig is totally on fire.

2-15-80 is weird EQ! In an incredible way, I must say. Thank you for the recommendation!! There's something weird from a japanese radio broadcast or something, also Andy takes some awesome solos but makes some ridiculous mistakes that could have easily been fixed by anyone at that level of guitar playing...almost like he was on something for the whole show...

Milano, Italy 4.2.80 (SBD)
By far my favourite show - and I have around 100 of them!
Crisp sound - and Stewarts double strokes on "Regatta" are inspirational!
I recommend it to all (as long as you don't pay for it!)
Secondary to that The Rat, Boston ( Oct 78 ) isn't the best quality wise (Stewarts hats eat the mix a little), but it shows their raw passion in front of a handful of people and is interesting to get your teeth into.
Worth checking out if just for Sting calling the soundman a "granny", dedicating "Fall Out" to Miles ("This songs called Fall Out, it's about our managers hair!") and asking for Kim to tie his shoelace!
