OT: ELO bassist Kelly Groucutt dies.

Electric Light Orchestra bassist Kelly Groucutt died yesterday after suffering a fatal heart attack, reports NME. He was 62. Groucutt joined ELO in time to record their 1975 album Face the Music and remained a member until 1983. After leaving the band, Groucutt joined ELP spin-off groups like OrKestra, ELO Part 2 and the Orchestra.

That was my original #1 band...went to the "Spaceship" concert at the ripe age of twelve years old and still think it the best "show/concert ever.

Will never see concerts like those again "sigh"

They were schlocky, but man - I loved 'em! One of my most prized possessions is my purple vinyl "Fire on High" 45. "Turn to Stone" is probably my favorite ELO song, along with "Don't Bring Me Down". That drum groove is infectious. Their videos were pretty cool, also - very hip for their day.

RIP Kelly :cry:
