It would be very easy to place Gordon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shyRrRqkprA

and styx can replace dennis deyoung

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBuJ3BVW-5o

No more attitude, arrogance and losing his voice on back to back shows!!!

come on Stew & Andy turn the page and get a new singer!!!!

The guy with Journey is good, but who's the Munchkin with Styx?

I don't think replacing Gordo would be that easy. Besides, I wouldn't want to see anyone in his place with S&A as "The Police."

Now, if they wanted to play with someone else in another format, that's different. I wouldn't mind that at all.
Stewart and Stanley together again!! YO!

I never want anyone to replace anyone in the band The Police. Ever.

That guy with Journey isn't bad. Steve Perry is pretty tough to imitate, but that dude is a good substitute.

Same goes for DeYoung, but his replacement sucks. Sucks BIG.

Who wants to see Police songs massacred? Not I.

I'm sorry Bob, but I have to tag this ...worst...idea...ever!

The Police IS Sting. The Police IS Stewart. The Police IS Andy.

Change the mix and they become a caricature of The Police.

You know that pathetic feeling you get when aging rockers grab a few session musicians and try to convince fans the band is back together? I never want to feel that about The Police who to this day remain total joy* in my mind.

(*I can pretend Don't Stand '86 never happened.)

Not even a good comparison, Bob. There are only 3 original members left in Journey and only 2 left in Styx.

Journey will never sound like the Journey I grew up with until the day they fire Castronovo and replace him with me

You guys are right but I just want to see at least Stew & Andy play together. I don't want to wait around (selfish reasons)for Sting besides I don't think Sting will come back. If they want to go in a different direction that's fine but it does make for some interesting conversation. That Steve Perry wanna be is pretty good!

I would love to see Stewart and Andy work on something together. Heck, I'd love to see the two of them just jam on some instrumental stuff. I would just leave The Police aspect out of it.

Apart from them not being The Police without one of the three, Malgordo owns the rights to 90% of the material, even if you cannot copyright the name "The Police" as Bill Gates could not copyright "Windows" even if he tried.

Maybe it’s just me, I thought it was kinda creepy watching the Superbowl pregame Journey performance. Like being at some karaoke bar!

The new front man for Styx is Lawrence Gowan. I went to school with his younger brother. The whole family was really short. Gowan had a significant career here in Canada back in the 80's. I heard him in an interview a little ways back. He seemed very likeable. English Lion has a story about meeting him back stage back in the day.
In Dallas, the only game that really mattered was in the word gamelan.
