OT funny true story

This morning I took our kitten, Gizmo, to the vet to be Neutered. Me and the vet were chatting and he said, "I'm sorry, but Gizmo is a girl, your He is a SHE" WHAT!?!?! I said. then "Well, I was wonderin' when them things were gonna pop out," the dr. nearly choked himself. My youngest son, who was with me, is in denial, as there is another stinkin' girl in the house.

I've been knocked up 3 times, you'd think I could tell the difference....

Lol when I was little we had a cat and my Mom insisted it was a girl, and we brought 'her' to the vet to be spayed, and the vet was like, "I'm sorry I can't spay this cat." My Mom was like, "and why not?" The vet: "It's a boy". And we all busted out laughing! It was a male cat that had been neutered.
“...and er, did anyone try just pushing this little red button?”

I have made that mistake myself with a pet. I was thinking one of my rabbits was a girl and named her misty cuz of her pretty gray color. Had to take her to a vet and misty had certain parts. SHE WAS A HE!

Our next rabbit we named BB cuz he was enormous if ya catch my drift.
Its still funny to look back and laugh at it. That was almost 20 yrs ago.

Years ago my daughter had a very bad tempered hampster called Claud. It turned out to be a Claudia instead.

Unfortunatley Claudia had a short life. One night she escaped from her cage and chose to burrow under our Great Danes bed - shortly before he got tired and decided to turn in for the night.

I found poor Claudia in the morning and quickly put her back in her cage and explained to my daughter, who was about 8 at the time, that Claudia had died in her sleep.

"But Mummy" said my daughter "Why is she all flat?"

Now we have a male cockateil whom we accidentally called Kirsty.

Ha! Crisis was averted under similar circumstances when I came home early to discover two of my cats having cornered one of the neighbor kid's hamsters under a cabinet in the washroom. I got him out, but poor critter...innocently wandering into the lion's den, so to speak...

My black cat, named for Samuel L. Jackson, is a stone killer. I used to loan him out occasionally to friends with mouse issues, but he's slowed down in his dotage...tho I don't know exactly how old he is.

my sister has 2 cats, both female, both spayed (or is it neutered you do to females?). all I know is that every chance one of them gets, "it" commences to humping the other mercilessly.

O.K. This is the ultimate of all vet stories...ya'll judge.
I have a relative who is, shall we say, lacking sometimes in the cerebral department. Anyhow, she got this new puppy, and I innocently asked her if she had had him circumcised. She said she didn't know you had to have dogs done. I acted all horrified and said if she didn't have it done before he was 3 months old he'd be deformed for the rest of his life. Well, she called the vet to make an appointment to have her puppy circumcised and needless to say they thought she was an idiot.
HAWWW
Maybe that's why she isn't so fond of me.
Then there was the time I told my brother chicken fingers were really made from chickens' feet and he believed me....but that's another story........LilRock

I've had transgendered cats before. Nothing surprises me at this point.

(I'm serious. We used to have a cat we were certain was male because when the un-neutered female in the house was in heat, it woud hump her like crazy. Finally got said cat to the vet and it was a female....)
