Don't know how to interpret that...
They also will play Arizona, but I don't want to be there in June. It is way too little for California, only 2 shows, so I really, really hope we can get tickets as soon as they are available. I have never seen Clapton live, that will be one feather in my cap for sure!!!

Looks like they will be releasing a 2 disc DVD/CD of their MSG shows later this spring.
Clapton and Winwood will be playing at the MGM, which usually means that tickets will be roughly a billion dollars per ticket with very little chance to get a really good seat unless you are a casino guest.
I've seen Clapton roughly a dozen times, though never with Winwood. Clapton has been very inconsistent. Some shows were outstanding, but some were total shit. I mean, his shows with Steve Gadd were one of the biggest live disappointments I've ever seen. I mean, how can you suck when you've got Steve Gadd on drums? But yet, Clapton was able to suck.
Ugh. Part of me really wants to go, but . . .

I am on the opposite side of the scale, I have seen Winwood many times but never Clapton. He is incredibly, consistently amazing live and has never disappointed me.
I was flabbergasted to learn that Clapton (yes, God...) can suck.
Mr. T., to my astonishment, agrees with you: he has seen him playing with Derek Trucks and told me that Trucks wiped his shoes with him.
But what I think is that Steve and Eric when they play together bring out the best in each other, and that is why I am excited. That, and the live versions of Can't find my way home and Well All Right!

Lol I was listening to Sea of Joy while I read that...
Ahh has anyone heard word on if they're making there way back to Dallas? A whisper, maybe?
Towos, how have you never seen Clapton live? Although I've never seen Winwood solo, so who am I to talk? lol

Derek was awesome, but I can't bring myself to say he was better (not that I wasan't thinking it!), he is alot younger, and I'm sure Clap has arthritis by now, so... Clapton is still awesome. Ahh I had a crush on Derek after that show, he was so so good!

Yep, that's going to be a big reason why I'll probably skip it, like I'll probably skip U2. Have they announced the prices yet?

I don't think I'll ever buy floor seats again, I had a better view at other concerts at that arena with much cheaper tickets. I ended up getting ripped off at the Clap concert, off of ebay... but it was my first Clap concert I HAD to have floor seats. I just didn't know there would be so many floor seats in front of me, lol. Ahh some of the best concerts I've been to were only fifteen or twenty bucks.
Straying off topic, but how much did tickets cost... in years past? 70s, 80's?

No prices for Verizon Center but elsewhere it is 60s-150.

We probably will make only one concert this year (unless Stewart premieres the Symphony somewhere), and it's going to be this one.
I MUST go see my family.
I am content with being there, don't need first row.
Grad Grad, I still have my first and only Traffic ticket (hehe, ticket to see the band Traffic...) from 1974: the price was 2500 liras (more or less $ 1.00)
And people caused RIOTS because they wanted FREE MUSIC!!!!
EvilMaster was years light to come....

$1.00? Wow, mine was $115, plus like $45 to take a class to take it off my record, and $20 for some paper I had to have to take the class.

This has happened at least three times now, so I should mention it. I visit the board to catch up and read this thread title and think, "more nutters are crossing the pond for a visit?!" Then I take a moment to wonder who Eric is, because I immediately think you are referring to SteveL.
