A town my man and I used to go to on weekends away has basically been wiped off the map. It was a gorgeous little place in the middle of the bush, and now it's gone. And so many people killed, it's just devastating, the worst bushfires Victoria's ever experienced. I can't even watch the news any more, it's heartbreaking. Thanks for thinking of us Shan.

So glad to hear from you guys

84 lives have been lost and rising over 700 homes have been lost, towns been wiped out, that is just in Victoria alone

just keep them in your thoughts and prayers

two people have been arrested for starting fires. One in Victoria and one in NSW and could be facing murder charges thank goodness

keep you updated

i'm amazed that the system can catch a firebug under these chaotic circumstances but i'm glad they are onto it. should any of the arsonists responsible for this nightmare be caught, i hope they take them through the burns ward of every hospital of the region - and then string them up. what a screwed up world we live in.

I am glad you guys and gals have checked in to let us know you are safe.

I cannot believe someone deliberately set these fires. There are not enough words to describe my rage at these individuals. WTF is wrong with people these days? If their life is not going quite according to plan. That does not give them or anyone the right to go and destroy innocent peoples lives!! Bullshit man!!

I hope everyone is safe and we are thinking of all our aussie friends. Huggs and lots of love to you.

Fires still burning

near to 200 deaths now

strong winds mixed with very high temperatures have caused a lot of problems

yet amazing stories have come out of some wonderful heroic people

there were about 40 fire fronts most were natural causes but as usual some were deliberately lit

some one was actually relighting fires after been put out

I am just reporting what I have heard it has been devastating for many families and the nation as a whole
