The Silence of the Stew

I know that I am probably retracing all of your footsteps who have discussed this topic to death in other threads... But I will annoy some of you anyway by asking the "stoopid" question of the day...

Why the heck has The God of Thunder been so damn quiet since the Police Tour ended? I totally get the "taking a break" thing and can respect that, but it's been an awful looooonnnnngggg time not to get the quirky post or two from Air Central, no?

An uniformed citizen would like to know. I'm aware of the "Yes I'm..." thread but didn't want to rehijack the hihack from the hijackers.. .

Word is he's working on a book, possible opera/orchestral piece, and also there may have been a gag order thru a confidentiality agreement from the tour. He has checked in and said a few nuggets here and there but I think it'll still be a year or more before he's comfortable or even able to talk to us little peeps.

chicago or dallas are the current educated stabs (made by others) for the location of a symphony, and stew said that he's retired to castle copeland to write 'the book' too....

i have my own guesses but:

why do people think a confidentiality agreement is in place?

Who originated it? What would its purpose be?

Does its possible existence point towards future releases / projects?

I can see two reasons- possibility of future releases/collaboration/whatever, where by STEWART spilling all could garner some bad press- gag him!

Or

It also could be related to his book, where by spilling all could potentially hurt sales because it's gonna be so damn juicy. Of course we would all buy the book regardless of how many new dinner tales he posted in the interim, but I could still see this being a possibility.

The first one seems to make the most sense, but I ain't getting me hopes up. There may not even be a confidentiality agreement in place- they could all be so busy with their current stuff that there just hasn't been time.

Stewart has a big brain that generates big thoughts for big projects. He requires big rendering time.

You'd think with the price of memory today, that a little upgrades to some DDR3 would already be inplace to help render....

True, but he is an older model. He may have maxed out his capacity by now.

Poppycock! You act as if he's an old G3! Something tells me he's got the latest 8 core under the hood.

(what the hell is wrong with me?)

I dunno. Yeah, he's all speedy and silver and shiny, but hell, you and I can't even qualify as the latest models.

But even if he is the bomb-diggitiest of the diggy, he's still got limits. Not to mention how he's got to end up wearing himself down with how fast he runs and how much heat he must generate. If the dude ever busts his fan . . .

. . .

Hang on, I think I've gotten lost in metaphor.

I understand what y'all are saying and I'm anxious to hear with "Yes, I'm..." is about (Gio, you bastard!!!! ). It would be nice to hear something from him once in awhile. We don't need to hear any details about the book or symphony. Just a "Waaaaay growth," once in a while. :D

Weeeeelll......, I remember way back before The Tour, and even before It's Announcement/rumor of, perusing over this site & all the posts(I had forgotten my login particulars, duh-uh falcon!, and just lurked for awhile. There would be new Dinner tales, responses. Just from how many PAGES of posts show in response to any STEWART post, whoa!. I would be under my bed w/ the computer turned OFF. Forever. This is a way larger world of voices, most of whom chime is only in response to Mr.Copeland, and it is like a big wave! I only can check this site at work, and between Himselfs last post, on a Friday, and the following Tuesday when I was back at my desk, I mean, like 8,9, 10 pages.......to a non-Copeland like myself, overwhelming!
Actually, I was surprised (and pleased, of course) to see one so soon. But everyine has already said it, Family Time for a while...

Gio, you bastard!!!!

Gio THE Bastard (I like it, ehehe...) is reading your posts and can tell you that he's sure 'his' boss will come back soon to talk again in public...he just has nothing to say right now... but he likes to read... and a lot!
Say hi...

Gio The Bastard has just spoken.
