Can someone provide proxy server guidance for non-brits?

I'm only fifteen minutes in to a documentary about a guy I'd never heard of, and I swear I'm already mortified by my ignorance. The 1937 taster right at the beginning is 'HOLY SHIT'.And it is technically fascinating re. how/when/if a full drum set first got recorded

Oh - and Mr Copeland? 'Allergic to jazz'? Glad you found effective antihistamenes ;-) (Busted!)

ETA: Thanks so much for the heads up Iain. This is just fascinating...

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

All right, STEWART. You're in Dutch, and in a big way, for not letting us know about this in time to set up our radio dials properly. (I'm a weirdo who still has a shortwave, so I think in these terms, even though World Service is pretty much Internet-only these days.)

Thank goodness for the sharp ears of one of our London correspondents - and for the miracle of modern technology.

I'm recording the thing now, should have a link posted to a permanentish download shortly.

Usual disclaimers: We'll poleaxe it if anybody doesn't want it linked here, and we'll buy it if it comes out commercially.

ETA: JESUS ALMIGHTY CHRIST. THIS IS FANTASTIC. SqueeeeEEEEEEeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEeeeeeeee!!!!!!! I keep writing stuff and rewriting it but nothing captures the outright joy of a totally unexpected torrent of Stewartness at its finest!!!!!! I guess I could just keep typing exclamation points in various strings...

Uh oh. There goes the idea of my getting anything else done tonight....or maybe tomorrow....

Thanks so much iain. I'm listening right now through the miracle of the interweb.
Man, Stewart has a great voice for radio! That's one reason why he should be happy not to be 25 any more. At 25 he had the voice of a 12 year old. Nobody would take that voice serious on the radio.

ETA: Ha! Stewart just pronounced controversy with the English inflection and an American accent. That's about as much fun as the word schedule, eh policerule.
(Sorry. I've been consuming adult beverages. Tipsy linguists think everything is funny.)

I just read Dive's ETA. Her exclamation marks sum up my feelings about this too.
Thanks a million Dive for recording this. I'm missing all the information due to an excess of SQUEEEE. (The hard cider left over from Christmas is sort of getting in the way of my full appreciation, too.) I'm sure this will be very informative when I'm sober and all SQUEEEE'd out.

Excellent 1st programme Stewart, well done. Looking forward to the rest of the series. You should do some more .

If there is any chance of getting your Repercussions BBC Raio series repeated that would be great.

Cheers
