Favorite released Police-related live album

Postby njperry on 22 Dec 2008 15:26

In light of Certifiable (and me recently listening to Orchestralli), I thought I would ask the community for thier favorite offically released Police-related love album.

I have including Police, Stewart, and Sting releases. Sadly, there are no live performances of Andy solo (at least to my knowledge), although some fine boots out there.

I am voting for Police Live, especially the first disc with the early Boston show. Like the energy of that (and other early) shows. That beats out Certifiable and, my second choice, Orchestralli.

This was a close one between Certifiable, Live, and Orchestralli, but I chose Certifiable. This may change tomorrow. And then the next day. And the day after that.

I chose "Live!". 2 different shows from 2 different periods. But just like EQ, I can change my mind tomorrow.

I would vote for the first Disc from the Live CD from the Boston show.. I rarely listen to the Atlanta show on Disc 2 of that set. Certifiable would be second.

I think some Andy album should have been included, Nick....

Andy doesn't have live album officially released, does he?

I voted for the Taranta album, 'cause I love it. Whenever I need a mood booster I put that one on.

In fact, I think I may do so just now!

I don't think there is something that gets me closer to Stewart than Live Orchestralli :')))) 8)

Yes, and maybe I should have included that but Schoener is the lead artist, not Andy.

Would love to have a live Andy release.

Live Gizmo is even closer for me but, alas, no offically released Gizmo album, just one track on SC Anthology and 3 songs on Modern Drummers DVD.

I do like the Orchestralli CD and the Stewvannah Orchestralli concert was even better for those of us lucky enough to be there for it.

(words fail me about the 'all this time' set, yeah, bad date to have a gig but that's no excuse for the insipid wankfest that ensues... )

I *never* listen to Disc 2. I didn't even bother ripping it. I'd love to like it because there are some good things going on, but I just can't.

I (sorry, Stewart) still have yet to pick up Taranta, so my vote falls somewhere between Orchestralli and Live Disc 1.
Dramatic highlights & a unique musical cosmos. Guaranteed.

I vote Taranta. I've heard few things that have made my feet and ears smile in equal measure.
