It is becoming winter wonderland here in Las Vegas. WE have SNOW on the STRIP and close by neighborhoods, and it is actually sticking to the ground. I would post pictures but I need to get a new camera. Mine crapped out on me a few months back.

It is awesome though. EQ...maybe you can shoot some pics.

Erin and I were just outside throwing Snow Balls at each other...now time to warm up and drink some hot cocoa. Yum.

new avitar....er um..found a pic of some snow we got It is gorgeous here. (not my place though)

They mentioned it on the local news here in Washington, DC. That looks pretty wild. It snowed a little bit in Vegas the last time was I was there back in November 2004 but nothing like what you're seeing there now!

Yeah, there is weather delays at McCarran Intl and as we speak...well hold on..let me go look for a sec...it is currently raining, but the snow we had earlier is still stuck to some cars and to trees and stuff. It is alot of fun. Kids have NO school tomorrow and I am not going into work. I dont drive in snow..Not in that car. Hell no. I have a hill to go up to get to my work. People drive bad enough in the rain here even when it is dry. hahaha.

Where exactly are you, Jan? I know we have both Melbourne and Tassie represented here also...I'm thinking about doing another Oz trip in 2010, I'll keep you posted.

My uncle got snowed in yesterday night. He called to tell me there was 4 inches forecast for Vegas!! I couldn't believe it, considering the last time I was there it was 107 F...

I couldn't believe it... I figured snow up in the mountains around Vegas, but IN Vegas? Wow! Maybe that's almost like snowing in L.A.

Have fun and stay safe!
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all...

It's gorgeous and 75 degrees here in Sunny South Florida!

I am a Michigander at heart, though. So, I always miss the Fall and the first snows.

Have fun with the hot cocoa, Shannon! Snow day in Vegas -- very cool!

yellow snow yellow snow yellow snow.

rainy and not snowing in the bottom left of the UK... certainly not 75 degreees, although it is night time so that would be a bit worrying.

Not snowing or raining at the very bottom of the UK but damn nippy bloody noodles. May have to throw another dog on the bed tonight to keep warm.

I hope it doesn't snow cos I work outside and have to drive a lot. If it does it'sno joke if you get my drift.

The school district here in Vegas freaked out so much that the day after the snowfall, all schools were closed. Uh, there was no freaking snow on the streets by the next day. None.

Growing up in Wisconsin, we wouldn't get a snow day unless the snow was so deep you couldn't open the doors to the school.
There is no bigger gong.

The school districts here freak if there's a forecast of a "potential" snowfall. I can't tell you how many times schools have been called off prematurely and we end up not getting any snow at all.

The weather was really unusual because it was 52 degrees here at lunch time today. Go figure. Glad you enjoyed the snow, Shannon.
