I picture GIO right now in the studio recording a bass track "bopping" his head to the beat like Sting was in Everyone Stares as he laid down the bassline for Secret Journey! (very cool bassline).

Rock On GIO !!!

ehehe...I was in Berlin...I thought I told you last week...or maybe no?...
Ok, anyway, I'm back (not good for you all!!!)

I'm replying to something but I still have to check all the posts I missed; I had no internet connection in Berlin even though I was there to work, and you would expect it...

It was summertime, too hot, really, I didn't expect that! I enjoyed a lot, first as I like my job as a label manager, and also as I had the chance to spend some time off, just like a holiday! I went to rock clubs, out for dinner at Cuban and Indian restaurants, went out to pizzerias as well, met some friends...and actually I did good deals to the company I work for.

I'm back...just give me a couple of days to re-establish my 'dominion'....uaahahahahahaha!
...and by the way....good new improvements on the web coming soon!

You realize you are really going to have to post some photos. Enquiring minds want to know!! (Plus, we're living vicariously through your fabulous European vacations...) It's still about 20C here, not too bad. Tell us more about these bands you saw!

Captain Blood, we will surely have some more chances...I wish I could do so many things, but next time....

I saw some friends playing, and among them a band called PET whose drummer is DODO NKISHI (sounds new to you? check Gizmo live pics...).
They did a great show, I really liked their songs, and reminded me a 2006 version of Missing Persons, a band I really liked, but with a male vocal.

I swa some other bands showcases but I don't sincerely remember their names, I should check the list of bands playing around....

Hmmm...Does this PET have a website?

We have a band in Nashville called 'Be Your Own Pet'...it's kids from the local school for the arts. They've created a little buzz here and there, I've heard.

We also recently hosted the Americana Music Festival, which was pretty great. ("Americana" is the term for guitar/rock music that isn't horribly overproduced, like most of the "country" music you hear on the radio.) It was a good chance to see some new bands...I didn't get to go to much of it this year, but Emmylou Harris and Elvis Costello MC'd the closing ceremony...
