my favourite picture of Stewart is not a photo

it's every bit of the MUSIKLADEN performance in Bremen 18.01.1979 (not the lip-synch bit which was mentioned recently, but the live gig).

he's always watching Sting to match the rhythm to the bass

very concentrated, even smiling - as it's working so good - THE POLICE really were a team then !

and very young and handsome for our ladies, too

Dietmar

The one of Stew on the back of Zenyatta with his fingers all taped up and his legs over top of the drums not looking very amused. That's my favorite.

Great video. I have it and highly reccomend it.

BTW..Is it me or is he playing a Ludwig drumset on this video? I do believe so. Maybe it was before he was "discovered" by Tama!! hee-hee

Hm. We ought to ask him if he's still got that Ramones t-shirt...

Mrs. Gradenko, that picture with Ramones t-shirt and headphones was my old time favorites pick...it`s at the top of my list!!! you dont get to choose the same one!! (just kidding!!)

It's funny, when we were teenagers and police was the greatest band ever... all my friends were madly in love with Sting while I was the ONLY lunatic with a crush on the drummer... I spent 20 years thinking I was a weirdest creature on Earth hopelessly devoted to Stewart Copeland.. and now I find that compared to some members of this forum! ... I know nothing about him! ...

I bet he'd still fit in it.

I got a favorite today! It's a rare new one of two of the coolest drummers on earth; Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters and Stew. It's from one of the LA gigs the Foo guys did at the end of August. It's a really nice photo!
