Hey all...Just got back from seeing Nick Cave (AWESOME... great to see Betsy, Nancy, Susan, Meg & Pluto!) and haven't even been home an hour but wanted to post this as soon as I knew:
Just learned the Damned (cept Rat Scabies, which is a bummer as he is one of my favorite punk drummers) have finally released all their US tour dates. They mostly stick to the UK just passing this along in case anyone wants to see them...
I'll be @ DC but NYC for New Years looks awfully tempting, am up to my eyeballs in work so we'll have to see!

29 - San Jose, CA - Blank Club
30 - Anaheim, CA - House of Blues
31 - West Hollywood, CA - House of Blues
November 2008

2 - San Luis Obispo, CA - Downtown Brew
December 2008

30, 31 - New York, NY - The Blender at Gramercy

I'm extremely excited about this. I've been waiting for an east coast tour for years. Of course, now I've made it to London...
I'm pretty sure my friends and I will be heading to NYC over the holidays to catch one of the shows. We'll finally be able to put our red berets to good use.

Awwww, shit!
I've got to hit the paper for at PT holiday job!
Would love to make one of these shows. Thanks for posting this, G!
I'm going to second her Nick Cave review of "AWESOME". If you're even a mild fan of his, don't miss it!

Sucks. All the dates are coastal.
But then, I *do* have friends on both coasts to hang with...hmmmm....

Aw, christ.... NYE in Philly with Gogol???
I'd have to approve it with the hubs, but if that works out and you want to do it, G, I'm in.
My boss tells me that I knew this already... my mind is really going.
Must give that serious thought. You'll probably hit the DC or NY shows, eh?

Not sure, am just about in tears this morning with how much has to get done before then but let's see what we can team up and do...I don't think NYC is gonna happen for us (just too damn expensive so far) so Philly/DC etc. sounds much better, logistically and if you can make it. And let's see who else we can talk into this!! <mischievious grin>

Just saw this:
"The Damned will be appearing on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on October 30th and 31st. The performance is to support the band's brand new album, So, Who's Paranoid which is due out digitally on October 28, 2008. The digital release will be followed by a physical release on November 17th in the UK and the 12th of December in the US.
The record follow 2001's Grave Disorder which was released on Nitro Records."
Just in case you are wondering about the new album and how they sound!

It was great to see the Damned on US TV. Dave still knows how to dress
. It's on youtube (of course) in case anyone has missed it.
Gina, are you on the east coast? I really want a tour shirt. They look great. i couldn't make the gig and had already bought a ticket and everything. Would you be willing to help me get one? Can we work something out? I would greatly appreciate it.
I was gutted to miss this. I've heard the shows have been great so far. Why did they have to play mid-week
.
Thanks!

Vanian hasn't aged in 20 years, about...it's rather amazing!
Sure thing, sweetie--I'm on the east coast and am likely gonna catch DC and Philly shows. Nothing is solidified yet but zap me an email @
GinaSuperCat@hotmail.com and let me know what you'd like (style, size, etc.) and I'd be happy to pick one up for you.
