What a gereat show yesterday !

People...you should have seen Stewart yesterday!
I know, I know...hate me...if you could you wouldn't have missed him!

Well, the new show of LA NOTTE DELLA TARANTA is amazing!!!!!!!! We were in Modena; the performance lasted about 2 hrs starting with 10 minutes of solos from voices, violins and tamburellos.
The the whole Ensemble came on stage and like a thunder on an open sky, they started the show with such an energy and vibe that reminded me the way The Police opened their show with Synchronicity! You know what I mean!
Stewart was on top! Such incredible drumming catches the eyes of everybody in the crowd (it was free concert inside a major park event); I guess there were about 5,000 people more or less....or even more.
There was much more improvisation than the last tour they did, with lots of 'rhythmic battles' between tamburellos and drums...sort of ethnic jam sessions at a very very high level....!!!
We all had fun and it was amazing listening to the crowd singing such popular songs and dancing all the way through! I guess it never happened before! The band was surprised, really.

People from my Italian mailing list was there and I did a meet & greet after the show; they were all happy (and I am too happy for them as well).

I wish you all will have the chance to see such a wonderful show live!

Stewart told me how amazing was the concert in Sardegna as well, in the middle of nowhere; he described the show one of the best he has ever done in his life and in such a crazy place...a temple in the middle of the mountains with nothing around, nothing but 3500 people.
The show was even televised by a local tv company that gave a dvd to Stewart after the show (!!!), that means they recorded and had it ready immediately!
It will be probably broadcasted very soon on Sardinian local tv station.

Tomorrow Milan! the tv show (Stewart said: "Surprise me!"....he found the right one then!!!) and the Night Of The Taranta at Mazda Palace in the evening....this must be heaven!

Ciao to everybody!
I know I'm a bit late for a comment of the wonderful night "la Notte della Taranta" in Modena, but nevertheless I wanted to share with you, as Giovanni did, the great joy I felt that day!

I went in Modena with my husband (a great fan of The Police from when he was eight) and a few friends and we danced and sang all the show. Stewart was great as well as all the other artists on stage.
All the people there was really involved!
We Italians should feel really greatful to Stewart for his work on the 'taranta' and 'pizzica' sounds, traditional music that we had almost forgetten and that now, thanks to him and his musicians, has become really 'popular' again!

From that day on, every morning, going to work, and every night, coming back home, my car-cd player cries loud the sounds of 'La notte della Taranta' : those sounds feel my soul fo happiness!

Thank you againd dear Stewart (also for the autograph to my husband who was happy as a child...I never saw him like that!
You are a 'benchmark' for all the music he listens to) :D

Ciao
