I just got a sampler of the promotional electronic press kit of Sting new album on Deutsche Grammophone 'Songs From The Labyrinth' with a 4 minute special about the recording of the album; a four minute video where Sting can be seen working at the album in Tuscany, recording sessions, short interview, rehearsing in the wine room and reading sheet music from Dowland compositions.
Sincerely I'm not that much into this kind of music; I simply like the idea to learn something that I never heard of, that means Dowland music.

...and I forgot to mention that Sting will do a couple of shows to promote this release (London and New York City in Autumn).

Tell you the truth, I thought the Sting material was, um, kind of silly, but immediately after it there's a cover of 'Fields of Gold' by Eva Cassidy that's just spellbinding. She had a voice like an angel; regrettably she died of cancer in 2000. She put out some really memorable albums, though.
Thanks for the link, Gio!

I've been in charge of Eva Cassidy catalogue here in Italy...she was great, really.

Gio, where did you see that Sting will promote the album in NY? I couldn't find it on Stink.com. God I hope I don't miss that one too!

From Sting solo work I like very much:
Englishman in New York.
Fragile in Spanish and Portuguese.
Rock Steady with jazzie sounds, but I like it.
And of course the time when I like him more is when he was with The Police...
Thanks Stewart to dicovered his talent to us...
Don't remember
