That's what I just read on stingus forum by member Julian:
I remember I read something online that Jack Bruce of the Cream was to form a supergroup called "HotFlash" with Andy Summers and Dennis Chambers in 2000. However, it didn't happen. Does anyone know why this project didn't work out?
Here's what I read on Rogier's The Polie Page Web site:
30-11-2000
Jack Bruce recently announced the formation of a new trio "HotFlash", with Andy Summers on guitar and Dennis Chambers on drums! An album and tour are to follow early next year.
Jack Bruce: "Andy and myself have already written more than twenty new songs and the band recorded seven in one day! As you can tell I am very excited about this. The band sounds great - very much the Cream Police! and can't wait to get back to work. We plan our first release early next year and then we want to hit the road bigtime. Around the world - at least around the world!"

...and this is what member Glarbage replied:
what i do know is that Chambers was the first participant to pull out of the project. Jack Bruce and Summers then recorded some of the songs with drummer Bruce Gary in an effort to keep HotFlash going. Then in 2001, Summers performed a 4 night stint at Birdland in New York City with Chambers and bassist Darryl Jones. later on, Jack Bruce went out on the road with Bruce Gary on drums. There could have been a disagreement on something or perhaps an agreement that the project was not worth pursuing ---- perhaps the 'flash' was not so 'hot' afterall. :)
