with a new singer after this tour. I'm sick of this Sting Sh!t already. They should recruit a new singer and try to come up with some new material. Lets look outside the box.
thoughts?

Whatever they do, the Police are a closed chapter.
Whatever Stewart does, I will listen to it, be there, buy it.
I think nobody ever had a chance to see the Beatles reunited.
We really lucked out.

it is really something to compare them to the beatles, but that's a very good point. how long were the beatles together anyway? probably about the same amount of time as the police, right? they both made a huge impact in a very small amount of time.

yeah, but that's the whole point GG... it wouldn't be the police. the police will be no more soon and i'm thinking that andy and stewart MIGHT like to work together again and it would be interesting to see what they would do without a singer.

Never said this would be The Police. A new band, new songs with or without a singer. Genesis: Peter Gabriel out Phil Collins in. Deep Purple Ian Gillan out David Coverdale in. AC/Dc Bon Scott out Brain Johnson in. Just a few examples.

My suggestion would be for them to just hoof up wih a top notch bassist. There is always the Rush Hour combination of Summers, Copeland, and Clarke, but I would actually be more interested in a combination of Summers, Copeland, and ASL. THAT would be something.

I just hope Stewart does something behind a kit with a lot of energy in it again. maybe Klark Kent could reappear? =o)

Bringing back Klark Kent would be cool but today I was thinking on what it would be like if Stewart and Andy did an album together or even just a few NEW recorded songs and release them for we Police Fans!
If they did afew shows together they could perform Police songs and maybe a Klark Kent song that have never seen the light of day LIVE in front of an audience.
setlist Idea!
New Song
Darkness
A Sermon
Contact
Fallout(played Live every night until Summer of 1981)
Clouds in Venice(was played alot Live in 1977)
New Song
Omega man
Bombs Away
Does Everyone Stare
Mrs Gradenko
Shambelle
Be My Girl-Sally(love to hear Andy's Poem!)
Kids to Blame(was played alot Live in 1977)
Its Alright for You
Nothing Achieving( was perfromed Live in 1977 and 1978)
New Song
Message in a Bottle
Roxanne
Don't Care
would anyone here on this board pay $100 to see Stewart and Andy perform these Live and afew new songs? I would!
They don't have to do what INXS did and have a TV show seaching for a VOICE. But hey....INXS did get great ratings from that show!

I think it would be interesting to see Stewart and Andy working together in a new project, but not playing The Police's songs. It's no that they cannot do it right, it just would sound... freak to me. I don't know, I don't like when some important member of a great band die or leave and the others try to keep by force a phantom of what they were. It's like stay in the past and deny the chance of a different future.
They have done such an oustanding come back, I think they should leave it that way when all this ends. And they are such great musicians by their own, they don't need to be trapped in their old glories to impress the public. They can do so much better than that.
But that's MHO.

Back in the fall of '06, don't forget there was talk of such a thing taking place...I thought it was supposed to be a South American tour with a guest or guest(s) adding other instruments, something quite different. Andy even confirmed this was under consideration when I asked him about it at a booksigning at the time, but obviously it all got scratched when the Reunion Tour came along.
(I would not be entirely adverse to them playing Police songs with a twist, either--they've done so before, Stewart did some great twists on his Police songs with Gizmo and all of that, taking them in very different directions and I think that could be a lot of fun.)
Actually I'm excited about whatever they do after this. Last night I was doing a lot of thinking and really realized how much I've missed hearing new music from them with the tour going on.
