OT: Dive's Mega Xmas Mix

OT: Dive's Mega Xmas Mix

Postby Divemistress of the Dark on 21 Dec 2007 04:13

Well, I know that due to distance and various other factors, we can't all exchange gifts, or even cards (since they take a couple of weeks to arrive, and cost a lot of postage in some cases)...but I have a gigantic Christmas CD collection and thought I'd share.

This is almost three hours long. You've been warned. And yes, "Yo Ho Ho" is in here, as well as some other stuff I thought y'all would dig. (And I did leave off the Band-Aid song, although I really considered it.) Enjoy. Merry Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and by all that is holy here in Copelandia, I hope each and every one of you has the best holiday season imaginable.

I may be offline the next few days, have to go visit the in-laws in Virginia and they may not have Internet...so this may be the last chance I get to spread the goodwill...:) Love, Dive

p.s. In order to avoid getting us all busted for copyright infringement, I'm only going to leave this up for a few days, and I'll remove it on request from Gio or Eugenio (in which case I'll change the link and it'll only be available upon request.) Thanks for readin'!

BTW, where in Virginia do your in-laws live if this Virginia girl may ask??

What specific error message are you getting, Pau? Everything looks OK on my end...this file is 185 megs, or I'd just email it to you...Try a right-click, then pick "Save File As" [your filename here]...

There is indeed a Klark Kent Xmas tune, entitled "Yo Ho Ho." It was released in 1989 on an album entitled "Just In Time for Christmas." It's a couple hours in on the Megamix, or you can check it out here:

http://www.gigasize.com/get.php/3195030 ... _Ho_Ho.mp3

I feel OK about posting, because this album is long out of print, but copies turn up on Ebay every now and then. It's got some great songs by Squeeze and Deborah Holland on it, too...

(note: You have to enter a 3 letter code, then click the green Download button. Then you have to wait till the timer counts down. Then click the next green Download button. I know, it's a pain, but that's the way the free Gigasize accounts work.)

Glad y'all are enjoying/plan to enjoy this. I told you I was a big ole Christmas music ho'. :)

OK, one more. Y'all just have to hear this, even if you don't have time to check out the whole mix....I suspect it may be our theme song this year.

Bob and Tom, "It's Christmas and I Don't Know Where I Am"

http://www.gigasize.com/get.php?d=6wrjm4p7g9b

At the office Christmas party
I started off with a Bacardi
I didn't get sauced
But right now, I'm lost
Its Christmas and I wonder where I am

I had a beer at my brother's
Had egg nog at my mother's
Then two bottles of wine
Which automobile is mine?
It's Christmas and I wonder where I am

Someone caught me dancing with a snowman
A policeman came and put me in his car
He said, "Are you drunk?"
and I said, "No, man, but could you drop me off
at the next bar?"

I guess my wife must be missing
Who's this dog that I'm kissing?
They say his name's Spot
and he likes me...a lot
It's Christmas and I wonder where I am
(etc.)

Thanks. I've just downloaded Yo ho ho.
With the megamix, when I click on the link, a new page opens, but there's a blank. Nothing.
If you have no problem on sending it to me trough email, I would apprecciate that.
You can find my address on the link below.

Thank you!!!!
:D
See y'all!

Edit: after hearing Yo Ho Ho. Nice song!!

Hey mrs. G., there is indeed a band by that name, on an album chock full of Surfari-style goodness put out by Double Crown records from Washington. I thought about a cut by Girl Trouble called "sigue sigue Xmas" but it was a bit much. (the album is "seasonal favorites volume 1".)

Actually am headed to Huntington, west va. To see hub's relatives (sorry 4 typos, on the iPhone :))

Will try to email, PAU, but will be on crappy hotel Internet...may work, may not. Will let u know.
