Can anyone figure out TPT's math?
"As previously announced, The Police will return to North American on October 31st for their 5th New York City appearance. And now, with that show completely sold out a 6th and final 2007 concert in New York has been confirmed November 2nd at Madison Square Garden."
NYC had TWO shows. Are they counting Giants and -- what, Hartford? -- as NY shows?!? Or Giants and Live Earth/Giants?!?

[ETA: I'm not bitching about the number of NYC shows AT ALL. I'm just confused as to what I might be missing.]

Hmmm, contemplating a trip to San Antonio.

After the show, I could visit the Alamo and see the basement.

I'd love to go back to San Antonio. I had a fab weekend there with friends back in the late 90's - it's such a chilled place. The riverwalk at night was gorgeous and we went to some place that served up frozen margaritas in glasses the size of my bath - heaven
Cheese comes as standard. From Ben Hur to Borough Market, we've got it covered.

Crap, I'm really in a muddle now.

Definitely going to 10/31 & 11/14 - have those tickets already.

HAVE to be in San Francisco 11/1 - 11/4, so those dates in there are a wash for me. Was hoping DC would be the 6th, as I just don't see myself doing the red-eye back from San Fran Sunday night after working three days just to jump on a train down to DC.

*sigh*

Debating just doing Stubhub now to get a ticket for Boston, so I can get in a third show this fall, since I don't see the other dates really working for me.

Here was the schedule as they posted it:

31 Oct Madison Square Garden, New York NY
02 Nov Madison Square Garden, New York NY
03 Nov Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, NJ
05 Nov Verizon Centre, Washington DC
06 Nov John Paul Jones Centre, Charlottesville VA
08 Nov Air Canada Centre, Toronto ON
09 Nov Air Canada Centre, Toronto ON
11 Nov TD BankNorth Garden, Boston MA
14 Nov Wachovia Center, Philadelphia PA
15 Nov Charlotte Arena, Charlotte NC
17 Nov Philips Arena, Atlanta GA
18 Nov Philips Arena, Atlanta GA
20 Nov AT&T Center, San Antonio TX

Eeek. So if I happened to have a lay-over in miami on the 14th, I guess a quick trip up to NC for an arena show is not out of the question.......

I should decide on that once I'm rational again, right?

Crap, how the hell am I going to be able to convince my wife we need to leave the kids (3 yr old and a 4month old) with a babysitter overnight (which we've never done before and don't have any family nearby to trust) for San Antonio?!?!

She wants to see them almost as much as I do, but the kids can't go for sure, and it's on a Tuesday night which makes things even harder. Damn! We may have to pass on this one.

You're telling me!

She was bummed about not seeing the Houston show because she was pregnant (and almost on bedrest at that point)! I can't go without her, and good god do we need a night or 800 away by ourselves.... ;)

We'll see- I ain't placing any bets yet though.
