A Short Poem

A Short Poem

Postby IndyGirl on 07 Sep 2007 05:14

I was bored during the first half of the Colts game and instead of doing homework, I decided to be a rebel and create this instead. Here goes....

The Police in Europe have landed.
Entry into Great Britain was granted.

How DM creates a schedule and map, I ponder?
It really is a magnificent work of wonder!

There were issues with customs in Sweden
that were overcome with beggin' and pleadin'.

We hope they keep touring until May
so they play in Lima for José.

More west coast concerts Netters say,
anywhere from Vancouver down to LA.

New Yorkers are looking forward to Challoween.
Will Stewart wear tube socks of green?

More midwest stops such as Minneapolis.
My concert venue wish is Indianapolis!

Flag etiquette is important, we learn.
Patiently, we all wait our turn.

Waving the flag high in the air,
all of us handle it with care.

Flag spotting is the new name.
Stewart plays along with our game.

Sting, his voice reaches a new height
as the band plays exquisite and tight.

Andy, his enthusiastic solos are great;
the guitar was always his fate.

Stewart, his drumming creates a sweet song;
we can't wait to hear his gong.

The headband minion, a lucky job,
taking applications would incite a mob!

SC.net is a favorite site.
It gives us much delight.

For many this has been our favorite summer!
It has all been because of one drummer!! :D

I love it, IndyGirl! You've captured the spirit of an amazing summer!!

As for getting the flag through Swedish Customs, I bet DM wishes all it took was begging and pleading. I guess money talks in every language!!

Edited to clarify: I am NOT referring to a bribe...just "fees" and such!
