It is Italian only. If I had time I would translate it entirely for you.
Nothing we do not know already, really. Timeline from Police Mach 1 to the process that brought to Police Mach 2 and how much more sophisticated it is and how much better they get along. What each of them has gone through since, this part especially focused on Stewart's love for ethnic music and his various projects until the return to the instrument he fell back in love with. The interesting thing is the quoted possibility that there might actually be new material and a new edition of the Police might take shape once the tour is over.
Also the quote from Stewart that "his little band has turned into this megastructure capable of making tons of money" closes the article.

Thanks Kalypso!

SOMEday Gio will write something in English...it kills me knowing the Japan version of "Everyone Stares" has liner notes he wrote and that I can't read them...I gaze at the booklet longingly all the time...

;)

Dive,

Are the liner notes in Japanese or Italian? If they are in Italian and you can send legible photos, of the liner notes, I might be able to help you.
I know that pain!

Now that's intriguing. Would love to hear more if any of our Italian-speakers has some spare time.

Thanks for the synopsis, Kalypso.

This is The Hope Sentence (Giovanni does not write who is he quoting, I assume it is Stewart, but you never know)

Therefore, there are no new songs; the pressure originating from an extensive tour does not allow for concentrating on new material, although the possibility of working on new compositions is not discarded: "We are not excluding the possibility of getting back to work together at the end of the tour to pusblish a new record; it all depends on the outcome of the tour, on how do we feel about working with each other again, on the will to create new material that we might have in the future. In fact, our intent of creating something new is alive: we'll see".

Ahh, The Police. The most contradictory band in the world.

My, how we have missed you.

Thank you very much for the translation, K.

Thank you Kalypso for translating, excuse me for responding this late; I've been translating Japanese into English too.

Dive>>> it kills me knowing the Japan version of "Everyone Stares" has liner notes he wrote and that I can't read them...I gaze at the booklet longingly all the time... <<<

Well well, Dive, here it is "
search the thread "ES:TPIO Japan Edition/ Gio's notes translated"

:( Eh....the grammatical tense is difficult, excuse me for that.
And please correct it if there's something wrong>>>Gio

Thank you Uccellina, very grateful. I am very busy with my work and the speed of light I must deliver it. I translate 24/7, and would have certainly done it for the site (normally No Pro Bono Work except for Copeland).
However, it is great that you took the initiative.
Come sostiene Stewart, “mi sto rendendo conto che la mia piccola band si è trasformata in una mega struttura, una di quelle grandi compagnie capaci di fare un sacco di soldi”.
la mia piccola banda (my little bandI)

Well, The Police always was big band, but seems like little just because at first, just a few knew them.

Vero hanno fatto un sacco di soldi.

Is true that The Police is making a lot of money with this world tour.
