THE POLICE in PERU December 7th? I'm Shocked!

Postby Jose on 05 Sep 2007 20:41

I am totally shocked... It's a dream?? Say me NO!!!!

I just found this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Police ... erica_Tour

I know isn't official, but it was posted at "Wikipedia"... All "The Police" info looks professionally posted, the same with the tour... and it included LIMA on December 7th at Monumental Stadium (80,000 people capacity) Who are capable to post on it? a regular fan or from the official "Police" crew?

I am anxious to know the true!!!!!!!!!

I hope it's true too!

But, ANYONE can post ANYTHING on Wikipedial. Honestly, you can post that Sting is a transvestite until someone red flags it and it's taken down.

It's not limited (at all) to people associated with the band.

Look at it this way Jose...Stewart said he was working on it. I don't know about you, but I trust him when he says stuff like that.

We've seen leaks like this before when rumors turned out to be true (remember the dates over on AndySummers.com?)

Plus, you're the psychic forum member who always knows when things are going to happen! COME ON, GUYS! PLAY LIMA AND MAKE A WHOLE LOT OF AWESOME PERUVIAN FOLKS VERY HAPPY! (Can I just tell you I heard a whole lot of great music while I was there? We've been enjoying a comp we bought at Phantom Music called "AfroPeru"...)

p.s. I know I owe you an email Jose...have been working on it but am packing for my trip to Amsterdam...I haven't forgotten you and I WILL find your CD!
On Google - site:stewartcopeland.net "your keyword here" - thanks DM!!

Ok...ok... I don't loose my hopes..Yeah if Stewart says stuff like this It really climbs my hopes... that's why I don't do nothing ofr other south american dates in the hope "The Police" would be here!!!

Hey Jean don't worry about the CD, first enjoy your trip to Amsterdam...when you'll walk into Danmark Avenue, Red Zone, Royal Palace, Train Staation... thinks my footsteps was there in 1993 and 2003...

Yeah "Phantom Music" is a great peruvian music store... "Afro Peru" ? Uhmmm I don't know this title I think is a compilation of the best afroperuvian songs... they are such good afroperuvian artists... like "Susana Baca", she is a singer from Kuala Boops records of David Byrne (Talking Heads) ....the afro peruvian rythm is based on "Cajon" (The Box) an afroperuvian percusion instrument...this kind of music was developed by peruvian slave descendants..the main part of them were residents or was residents from CHINCHA & CAÑETE ( at ICA ) the same towns devastated by the Earthquacke ( by the way updated "Nasa" maps says the earthquacke in Pisco was 8,4 not 7,9 )

Regards & Bonne Voyage!

JOSE

PS: By the way, What happened on Andy Summers.com??? What dates??

It will happen Jose, it will happen. Lima will see The Police! We need to think positive. Actually it would be great to have a full blown South American tour. It would be economically more viable and we have good venues all over the continent. Rio, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, Lima, Bogotá, Medellin, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Caracas. All those cities have the infrastructure to host this tour.

Fingers crossed, my friend!

Here is the link of "Monumental Stadium of Lima - Peru" at "Wikipedia", it contains all the descrpition of the stadium and colorfull pics all of this is in ENGLISH...enjoy it!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estadio_Monumental_%22U%22

The "Estadio Monumental"- “U” is a football (soccer) stadium in Lima, Peru, home ground of the football club "Universitario de Deportes". It is Peru’s largest and most modern stadium and also the third largest in South America—behind the Maracanã in Brazil and the Isidro Romero Carbo in Ecuador.[1] It has a spectator capacity of 80,093. Approximately 60,000 people can fit in the four stands and 20,000 in luxury box suites known as palcos.

Hope all this dream turns on reality!!!!
